Therefore we are supposed to take at face value SCO's statement that "secret" IP belonging to SCO was copied into the very public Linux kernel, without ANY assistance from Caldera, by evil Linux developers intent to rule the world. SCO will not tell us who these "code pirates" are. Although SCO would have us believe they have proof that will hold up in court, SCO will not arrest those persons whose names are on the list as having contributed SCO's copyrighted cude code. Stealing that "SCO" code that cannot do NUMA, SMP or any of the other crucial enterprise technologies that our Linux developers have slaved for years to create, would NOT have brought Linux to the height of technology that it shares today. SCO has stated that there is code common to Unixware and Linux, I believe this. I do not believe that the Linux community stole SCO's code, SCO has shown who the thieves are, through their legal filings, market manipulation and loud complaining. SCO is hoping for the same settlement that ATT had years ago, some code they can call their own. This brings software development to a new low, who needs programmers just hire lawyers, steal code from the world, and then charge the people who wrote that code to use it.
I hate to use a cliche, but in this case the guilty dog has barked first.
SCO stated at first a few lines, then several, then hundreds, now thousands. My question is, how fast can SCO add more Linux code to Unixware? Can we ever be rid of the "offending code" if SCO copies more every day?
It is time for SCO to show us what they have copied from Linux, and the names of the person(s) who copied Linux ip.
SCO Senior Vice President Chris Sontag said "there are millions of lines of offending code involved and that it's highly unlikely the matter could be resolved by removing that code"
Translation: We will add more Linux code to Unixware as you remove it from Linux, You will never see all "our" code. We own our Unixware development logs, and change them at will.
Call the Treasury, call any other org. you remember from the logs, tell the story to them, and that there is still a hacker after them from the x-company.
Ask if your x-managers contacted them yet. if the managers did not, ask the Treasury to investigate the matter.
The logs you were shown were probably completely bogas, they needed to lose an employee, and you were elected for removal. The bosses son was probably next in the line for a layoff.
I use a piece of tape twisted into a probe, sticky side out, the crude/lint inside the mouse ball opening, sticks to the tape. I feel this is safer than a blade of any sort, and it seems all corporate PC users always have a tape dispenser on their desks.
Why only think in 3D, why only lightyears away? There are very valid arguments for more that 4D space(high, deep, wide, time) Just because we only perceive 4 dimensions, does not mean there are no other unseen dimensions. (this would explain "curved space" and wormholes better)
I think BSD has a better icon for SCO's ceo

BEST REGARDS,
MR Darl C. McBride-
"SCO Unix as penance."
No, we would not even wish that on McBride.
SCO has also declared "I am not a crook"

How much did SCO contribute to our fearless leaders Coup d''etat Hmmmmmmm
"There is about 5.4 million lines in all of the .c, .S, and .h files"
and SCO is copying/stealing them as we speak!
Next SCO will claim the Samba team copied Unixware too!
And show code to "prove" it under a NDA of course.
Do not forget it is illegal to sell something you do not own ie: bridges, national monuments, oceans and Linux.
"beri-beri brain-eating disease"

I would bet an embedded Microsoft OS

Maybe McBride will do us all a favor and think he can fly from the top floor of SCO HQ.
Was NYC Slashdotted?
If power plants can be run on windows 2000 or XP embedded OS's, who needs terrorists.
Another reason to run anything on Linux (or BSD)
So long as it aint SCO

Yeah, No more lawsuits, now file traders will be tortured with vice grips on top of a float, in the town Christmas Parade.
There was a virus, at one point, that rewrote the clippy help vocabulary with insults. I did not want to "cure" that virus, it was hilarious.
