I read an article in the morning paper (probably AP) where they said it might not make it out of the development stage. As I understand what they have done is add high-k to the gate stack - greatly reducing power consumption. So - it might still be x86 architechure but it will run a lot for very little power - at standard (3 GHz) frequencies.
Whiney Mac Fanboy is a subscriber. They (subscribers) get to see the articles before us mortals. First post isn't hard when you can reply to the article before the article is available to the unwashed masses.
No.... (OK maybe) but really it is something he (she?) has posted before.
I like the CNET.co.uk story on 4 ways to hide the iPOD from muggers.... (You have to dig in a bit on the links.) One of which involves the sun not shining. They suggested the same for the iPhone.
I think that Fuji might complain about that - however the fact that Cisco just did this AND the iPhone name has been hanging around Apple for oh 3 years would seem to me to suggest that Cisco is just playing games - and that a court will find it as such,
This would fit with the software - not unlike iTunes with the iPod. BTW - I was in a far away land for a while recently and found the VoIP part of iChat to be reasonably good. I had not used it before. It allowed me talk to my wife and kids which was really nice with a 5 year old.
Honestly, the more I see of this stuff, the more I wonder if it isn't time for a congress reform rather than any of the billion other little "reforms" that congress proposes.
There is actually an easier way to deal with this - fix the gerrymander issue . This could be done by forcing congressional districts to follow local governmental boundaries - you can't break up cities and counties to make strong Rep/Dem districts. Check the election records. Very few people get voted out of congress. That would make the positions more open to turnover - not this life long stuff
Put simply, code from Novell must now be considered "contaminated", whether it actually is or not. It's just not worth it for any open source project, especially the major ones like the Linux kernel, OpenOffice, GNOME, GCC, X.org, etc., to accept code contributed by Novell.
So your claim is that M$ has asked - or rather paid - Novell to insert M$ code into GLP code and then they will use this to shut down such code? I think not. M$ will then be activitely involved in putting the code - who are they going to sue over this? Themselves? They can't have someone add code and then sue for it. It would be like me taking my TV next door then calling the police and claiming that the neighbor had stolen it... Can't happen.
(Current Health Care Status) * (Government Efficiency) = Big Disaster
Except that is wrong. The best (most efficient) Health care system in the world is one run by the US Government.... You'll never believe where. The Veterans Administration!
Wow I had never heard of this before. - I had to go look at Wiki. (And yes they were locked in the water tower!) I missed this, my kids are either too old or too young for this to have played in our house. I was talking about the dumb frog that they had on the WB television network that folded about 9 months ago....
The ads are SPONSORING the program! Somebody has to pay the bills. I'm not saying I never skip ads, but I definitely don't feel intruded upon.
Yes, like when I tried to RTFA I could not because of a popover ad. It literally covered what I was trying to read and moved as I tried to scroll the page.
If this is really true M$ seems to have no clue as to what to do next. This seems to be a huge $ sink - and something that I just can't see anyone wanting to use.
"I've noticed that some of the games that yahoo hosts don't work properly on firefox."
OK I am going to burn some Karma and not post AC - but how is this off topic? It is a/. story about yahoo pushing IE7 and someone notes that some of Yahoo's games do not work on FF. If Yahoo is writing games that work only with IE7 then this is another reason that Yahoo might be pushing IE7. Whomever moded this 'offtopic' needs glasses - as they hit the wrong button - or needs to not have mod points.
For the record I am using Safari but I also run FF and IE5 at times - for really poorly written web pages.

Sorry I have to ask - does Uncle Bill sign them himself? Or is it Balmer? See with Uncle Bill signing them, it might be worth the extra money...

My $0.0002 (after inflation)
Damn what happened to my SMTP service?

Thanks - I have gone and looked them up. I'll try them out when I get back to the US.
It is if all that you are worried about is a disk crash..
Verizon is the old GTE, Qwest was rail company as I remember and I think that Lucent got eaten by Alcatel

I have done something like this - I run dual raid (mirrored) drives on my main computer. It would be nice to have a similar method for the laptop....
So what DO you use? I agree with what you are saying but.....
Except that is wrong. The best (most efficient) Health care system in the world is one run by the US Government.... You'll never believe where. The Veterans Administration!
Here is a link - but not a video. http://www.commondreams.org/views/022100-106.htm
Has always worked for me...
Yes you are correct they do say 'YARR' but they also say 'ARRRGH' - more R's then Charlie Brown.
Yes, I know it is off topic.....

Is that where they put that stupid frog?
(Of course this is off topic. So is the topic.)
