    why is it that everone assumes i've never ridden a damned bus in mexico? i have, so, i know. I sed that studies find them effecient. and they are, they get people to where they need to be faster than our standardized system. Not the safest ride in the world to be shure, but it gets the job done better than a controlled since birth system. that was my point.

    the paper is about two years old. like hell i can find it. If you want a bit sized version of the paper, did thru the last two years of PopSci, Discover, and Harpers. I know it was mentioned in one of them.

    ... sorry, not happening. Hell, we can't even push out v6, let alone start from scratch. Sure, these organic growths (i'm talking bout the internet) may seem inefficient and disorderly, but anyone in theorectical math knows that such systems have an awkard effecientcy. Similar to the buses in Mexico (they don't have a single entity controling them, like the US does), the internet grows from several competing interests, and often seems chaotic and ineffective. Yet, studies show that the buses in mexico are several fold more effecient than the regulated from the start ones here in the states. Just some food for thought.

    ok, now to be serious. When people CAN get something for free, with very little risk, they will take that opportunity. Of course, i do purchase things online all the time. things that are actually physical (not just a string of 1s and 0s). Newegg.com owns my ass.

    personally, i use PCAnywhere. It can't run on a PDA, but the programs i use wouldnt work on a PDA anyway. PCAnywhere might be a bit expensive, but for remote log-ings into your own desktop at the office, it just can't beat.

    Almost every young person uses a computer at least once a week (even if it is just to right a school paper or something)

    okay, back on topic, I will go to a Gary Larson cartoon for inspiration. In it, the general sez "but what if we had a war and everbody came?" (hold on, i'll make it relavent) Now, if a great percentage of people used the encryption, and a majority were using it just for privacy (not to hide illegal stuff), then they couldn't possibley monitor everyone, or have reason to be suspicios. After all, if everyone wore a large trench-coat, the cops wouldn't find it out of the ordinary, hence no suspicion. my 2 cents, and nothing more.

    i'd just grab one of those stiff mouse pads (lay it on my leg) and an optical mouse. That should work out well.

    of course, you are right. Controllers are very nice, I could just grab a logitech controller pad, but that defeats the purpose O_o

    oops, you're right, it does use OpenGl. My mistake stemmed from the fact that he complained about being unable to use OGL2 and because he used vertex and pixel shaders. However, I do know that it was inteded to run on a GF3, but without any of the special effects (real-time shadowing, etc). For those you need the newer cards.

How bout they instead have one of their own addresses where people can send all the comments they have and then deliver it to the Pheonix people. That would be more along the lines of open source community ^^
