The Egyptian military and connections (retired senior officers) are undoubtably wired into the US Military/Intelligence Community internets. My understanding is that civilian landlines will also be closed, probably more difficult but possible since the Egyptian Military has been permitted to re-enter the Sinai by Israel.
This situation and many others have been gamed long ago but as once said there are unknowns that are unknown. IMHO, so far, Egypt is still following the program.
