... then we should actually make more legal cr/hacking available for people to "get it out of their system".

That's basically what they do for crack users -- give them clean needles so they don't hurt themselves anymore. Let's give the hackers clean times to work on their hacking so that they can't get thrown in jail.

I'm sorry, but this idea still makes no sense.

How many people ACTUALLY make calls from their computer? Although I understand it is free, the quality still doesn't compare to a regular phone (not even a cell phone -- don't get me started on those).

I remember making calls back in... '98 when this was a new technology, and I stopped after about 2 weeks.

Poll Question - Do you really make calls that often from your computer?

There is no proof that he violated the copyright holders right. I'd like to see the RIAA get a subpoena with no proof that the guy is 'pirating' the music.

Also, I'm sure the courts would LOVE to write up subpoena's for everyone that has 'illegal' downloaded music...

    Can you say... millions?

    I mean, come one RIAA!

You're infringing on our rights now. I can't wait till there's a supreme court case against the RIAA and they get their assess sued off and can't survive any longer.

This is also just a stupid marketing ploy. Just wait until tonite and tomorrow all of the major TV stations and radio will be talking this all up.

I don't understand why the RIAA thinks they can get away with this kind of thing and NOT have more consumer-backlash! All of these different things the RIAA is doing (flooding networks with bad files, installing "worms" into servers, etc) is just making me less likely to purchase anything from the RIAA.
