Ummmm - did you even watch the show? It sounds like you watched the first 3 to 4 episodes and left it at that. The show was ALL about survival. Yes, there were interpersonal relationships mixed up in that fight, but the entire reason the town was being invaded by the neighboring town at the end was for FOOD and resources. Every man for himself, and defending your home turf - the essence of survival. All civilized behavior was practically out the window and the needs of the characters went back to the most basic human ones. Look at the characters that rose from near obscurity before the bombs, after the bombs they had the personality types that is more conducive to a crisis mode than a society.
I would personally use this service on every single flight I take. I am Gold elite on Continental and with the exception of code shares w/ Korean air this service is simply not offered. I would even use this service on 1-2 hour flights. Please do not evaluate the viability of the business model when you don't have any adoption rates! Like the telcos / cable systems you will have to absorb an up front capital roll out cost to get the subscriber base. There are also a lot of other side industries here - WiFi enabled devices besides laptops could benefit as well. Think hand held multi-player gaming consoles. I sincerely hope to be able ot surf the web at 30k feet one day soon!
What a lot of you are forgetting is:
TowerStream is T1 speed UP AND DOWN (do you just want to hear the person you are talking to or do you want them to be able to hear you too?)
Plus, it is extremely low latency - one hop to a MAJOR backbone that powers the TowerStream data center.
IMHO, you can't get better than this combo for VOIP. PLUS, they open your router so you can get up to 5MB/sec up and down - 1.5 is just what they guaratnee!
i'm not sure where you get your intel, but you should share it with the local Austin media. I'm sure they'd be interested to know that local government doomed this builidng to more years in purgatory!

Why not release the OSX for the X86 architecture? Why is Apple such a bunch of control freaks. It was there downfall before and wit will be again.
