Yep, Israel has it all. Their fighter pilots can really nail those women and children and not even get blood on their spiffy starched uniforms. Their assassins can slip in and get entire families and slip away without getting a smudge on their outfits.
Their PR is the best in the world. They have convinced us that the Palestinians are responsible for their own oppression. We weep in agreement and send another mountain of money and arms their way. If only Slobodan Melosivich or Pol Pot had Israeli's PR we would he hailing them as heroic too.
They should stick to oppression, they are better at it.
There are some world events that seem certain to occur but nevertheless are very hard to predict when they will occur. For example, the fall of the Soviet Union. Commentators had predicted that the USSR was doomed because of it's internal inconsistencies. However, they had been making those predictions for 50 years. By the 1980's most people assumed that the USSR would always be with us. Those who continued to predict it's fall were relegated to the sidelines of political discussion.
When the fall came, it came with breathtaking speed. All the 50 years of prediction had proved to be pretty much dead on. The same could be said about Apartheid South Africa. In the end all their military might did not save either of them. Their own people stopped believing in their own system. When they stopped believing in themselves, they were doomed.
Israel presents the same situation. There is no one outside of the US and Israel that still believes in the Zionist cause. The Israeli's themselves are beginning to see that they are no different in their persecution of the Palestinians than how Jews had been persecuted for 2000 years. They are beginning to see that their quest for a country based on ethnic and religious purity is no different than such efforts in other countries. The result of such policies is always oppression, genocide and ultimately disaster. All of those other governments are now gone, leaving Israel alone.
How to predict when it will be over? History indicates that it is impossible to say when, but history also seems to say that when it comes, it will come rapidly.
All this talk of "soft walls" or high tech "Combat Zones That See" will not help. All the low tech stuff; torture, assassination, or holding people without trial will not help. This stuff may distract us from the actual problem but it won't make the problem go away. The problem? Israel is the world's last racist state and America continues to prop it up.
If we want to help the Israelis, we should force them to give the Palestinians their rights.
As we develop more sophisticated weapons and further degrade our civil rights we are moving further away from peace. Revolutionaries, terrorists if you prefer, will always find a way to attack the system. Revolutionaries know why they are fighting and they are willing to die for their cause. We choose to not understand why they are fighting, we are therefore left with no idea why we are fighting. Witness; Iraq.
If we continue on this road we will be surrounded by the most lethal weapons while living in a prison of our own making and still vulnerable to terrorism. This is the path that Israel has chosen, let us not follow them.

Why are we surprised when a new fraud comes out of Israel? I seems that every person that commits a fraud and is of the "correct" ethnic origin escapes to Israel. They seem to collect there.

I don't think that fraud and murder is illegal in Israel. At least for the "correct" type of people. What a splendid place.
