  1. Re:Not as good as heroin on Skype Offering SkypeOut Service for Free · · Score: 1

SkypeOut is free and SkypeIn is 30euros a year, so about $3(USD) a month. Vonage is $15 a month (for 500 minutes) plus the cost of the hardware (I already have a computer and headset, so the cost of Skype hardware is $0 for me). I think I've used a landline twice in the last 6 months. "Poor quality" on Skype is good enough for me, because honestly, I don't listen to CDs over the phone, so I don't care about the quality much. Why would I spend the extra money on Vonage (or any other VoIP service)?

Another time it wouldn't be good would be when going onto a highway, if a car is right next to me and the onramp is about to end, sometimes it's safer to slow down and get behind him, but sometimes, it's safer to speed up and get in front of him. Also, If someone comes up behind me and looks out of control, or like they are speeding and not paying attention, I'll speed up so he doesn't rear-end me. Also, depending on how it is implemented, if it only uses the GPS for location, and uses speedometer for speed, what happens if I am going down my residential road on snow and get stuck. If I hit the gas, my wheels might move, but not my car. This means my speedometer says I'm going 60mph, but I'm not actually moving.

I know what you mean. I'm paying my own way through college also, with no help from parents. I did buy a laptop because I needed a computer, but it was tough to afford. If I could have gotten one of these, it could have saved me a lot of money, though. Email me at my user name at gmail.com, by the way. I might be able to get you a decent deal on laptop (not one of the one's in the article) in a few weeks.

To the person who asked why you don't get a job at McDonald's and buy one: when you're paying college tuition, some things get higher priority than a laptop. Maybe he has a job at McDonalds and is using it to pay his tuition.

The flashing ones are the worst, in my opinion. I hate having a big blinking red thing at the top of the page that says "you're a winner, click here to claim your prize" (or whatever it says, i've blocked them long ago). I use a hosts file to block ads, but I would not block Google ads because they are relevant, and are occasionally useful. Google ads stay out of the way, and I only notice them if I try.

Just curious, which mathematics suite are you using, I'm looking for a good one for my Sony Clie.
More on topic, I use my PDA running palm os for a lot of stuff for school. I bought a portable keyboard to take notes with it, and to write school reports on the bus, or when using a full laptop is not very convenient. I have my homeworks assignments in the todo list, and my schedule in the date book. Some people might say all of what i use it for can be replaced by pen and paper, which i would agree with, but I can type a lot faster, and using my PDA makes it a lot easier to sync all my stuff to my pc and my mac. My palm OS PDA just works, athough it lacks some of the advanced features of pocket pc's running windows.

I didn't need a color screen on my iPod either, so a week or so after the new color-screen iPods became standard, I bought one of the store-display black and white iPods for $200. It was a great deal because the store had only been open for a week and a half when the new iPods came out, so it was almost brand new.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I never say the really vulger words, and I very rarely say even some of the less vulger replacements. I don't see why people need to swear. They say it helps them release anger, but there are planty of less offensive ways to release anger. Where some people would say 'the F word', i say 'bummer' or something like that. It works the same way, and is less offensive.

My '95 has the same thing, and if I recall correctly, my neighbor's '94 has it also. From what I hear, it was only on '94 through '96. I love not having to use the key to get in it, but one problem on mine is that when it locks and arms the alarm, it honks the horn. If you are just near the edge of the range, say, talking to someone, it will honk every once in a while.
I have gotten some odd looks before, because when I walk up to it, people have noticed that I do nothing to unlock it. They always ask why I never lock my car.

Why leave out bathrooms? We built our own house a few years ago and we did quite a bit of wiring. We have cable to almost every room (including one of the bathrooms, its nice to watch the news while getting ready for work, or to catch a good tv show in the tub), and we have at least 2 cat5 cables per room. (one for phone [each cat5 cable supports up to 4 lines, if i'm not mistaken], and one for networking is what we have right now in most). Unfortunately, we forgot to put cable/network in the kitchen, but can add it easily thanks to the conduit through the walls. We also have speaker wire run to every room for when we add a music system (we have a thing that connects our doorbell through all the speakers, and connects the phones to an intercom, and plays music, we just don't have the speakers yet), and we also have the speaker wire run from where we want tv's to possible surround sound speaker locations. We have the conduit running in multiple locations, basement to attic for adding fiber, etc. We have wireless also, for the laptops.

I always carry my binder, laptop, and a few notebooks in it and haven't killed my laptop (yet). my backpack has been thrown and dropped a few times. i accidently set my backpack on top of my friends trunk and he floored it and my backpack flip up and over the spoiler of his car and landed on the parking lot and skidded 5 to 10 feet and was fine exept for a small crack in the battery handle (no big deal).

What do they plan to do with $15,000,000,000,000 u ask? They're gunna buy the USA, tax everyone for doing anything, and retire on trillians of dollars.
