Hell yeah. I unfortunately only have super bomberman for the SNES (emulated by the xbox). Still though, I along with friends played super bomberman 2 for about 4 hours only taking a break only for pizza. ( I rode my bicycle for 30 miles in the morning so it balanced out. )
If the HTML code is valid the page should be fully readable in a text based browser. What you will miss will be layout. I know many text based browsers can do some cool things with tables, which people are now avoiding when using css.
The other interesting aspect is the option to choose a css file based on the media that it is presented on. you can have a CSS file that is for print only and it may eliminate things like the side menu so you can read the content easily.
Many PDA browsers are savvy to the different media types and can determine the correct CSS file to use. It may be interesting if text based browsers could eventually do something with css. Unfortunately this requires more work by the site authors.
Still the main goal is to make the data accessable. Valid HTML with CSS will certainly be accessible.
quote:I'm already thinking of hacks... I wonder how hard it would be to spoof GPS signals? Of course, 5 cents worth of aluminum foil over the sensor would work, too. Only if they correlate their measure of distance versus the car's odometer would they know if the system had been duped.
If you had an accident while the black box was disabled, you certainly could not make a claim on it. You should just ride without insurance if you want to save some cash.
This sort of insurance is not for everyone. I am a bicycle commuter. I don't even own a car. If I can pay a few dollars every so often when I do get in a car it would be much cheaper than paying for a whole month. I see this as being a possibility for rental cars too, but they already have day-to-day insurance for that.
These things take time. Every new process needs to be tried and refined before a cheaper way can be found. There is great potential in not printing books until they are desired. If you've ever known an aspiring author you might have had the chance to see the many boxes of books that they get left with when nobody wants the book.
Definately a good point, but you are referencing a completely different standard of living in a different place in the world. We all likely live in an economy similar to that of which the Simpsons voice actors are living in.
If you want to refer to money this way just as simply (and effectively) made a point to say that the common $20,000USD/year earnings of many mid/low income people in the United States would have been a Kings ransom in the 19th century.
I wanted to mostly point out that these people are sharing the same city as I (and/or a similar city for most/. folks) and earning plenty.
I guess the Simpsons would not be the same if they were gone, but I still have 12 seasons to catch up on, I don't know that I need more.
So making a couple million a year is not enough money? These people must be crazy. Well atleast now they can continue making more money in a year than I would need for the rest of my life, and they can do so for the next four years.
I am not big on US History, I did read the link I posted and I understood that he was traitorous. I suppose this John Kerry character believes that thes CEOs are betraying their country, but this is an international company at this point with an eye on the world market. Yeah, it sucks to the high paid techs (I suppose I am amongst the ranks), but the consumer will get a more cost effective product.
The US Economy is bound for a major hiccup as these Baby Boomers start calling in their expensive social security. With the government much in debt how it is, taxes will be driven up and the economy driven elsewhere.
45 Seconds of the colorbars with 1000Hz tone. It is 5% of the total video length, calibration can be done in 15s-30s and this is compressed to hell anyhow.
Oh well. I guess I have survived nonetheless.

I wish that the companies would realize how important battery life is to many users. I had the first Visor model, 2 megs and I think it was a 16mhz processor, but I would replace the batteries once a quarter at school. When my visor disappearred (stolen, and god knows why, it was 3 years old) I decided to upgrade. It took me months to find something with more features and similar battery life. The Clie SL10 has some cool features and plenty of expandability, though the battery life is only about a month long.
Nix the 320 res screens and poo on the 33mhz dragonball processors. I just want more ram and more battery life. I don't want to be staring at my palm device all day. I just want all my important info at my fingertips.
