Uhh...could be MCI got burned in a similar scenario a few years ago. MCI was going to merge with BT. Then Worldcon showed up with their carpet bag and a larger offer. BT was pushed away and the rest is bankruptcy history.
Verizon & MCI is a much better mix than MCI & Qwest.
To review....MCI broke up the bell monopoly. Later, MCI is "bought" by Worldcon during the internet bubble. Verizon (spawned from the Bell breakup) now buys MCI. The circle is complete and McGowan is spinning in his grave.
I seem to remember reading that Dell has setup their printers so they will only take Dell branded ink cartridges. Can anyone verify? If so, isn't this the same as what HP is doing? I guess it is time to add Dell to "the LIST"!
If what you say is true, Neuros needs to do a better job getting out the information. According to this link:
"http://neurosaudio.com/store/product.asp?catalog% 5Fname=DigitalInnovationsCatalog&category%5Fname=N euros+Players&product%5Fid=4010301&cookie%5Ftest=1 "
the System Requirements are:
OS: Microsoft® Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP
CPU: Pentium 233MHz or higher
Memory: 64MB minimum
Hard Drive: 160MB
USB Port .
Funny, I don't see Linux nor the MAC OS listed. Shouldn't the product specs list all of the compatible OSes? I stand by my original comment.
I remember back in the win3.1 days when there was a microsoft branded antivirus product which I used until the following incident. It misidentified abut 250 files as being infected. I had to hit the ignore button for each file to get the program to complete. About 50 files into this process I had a good rhythm going when the ignore button automagically changed into a delete button without a confirm. I deleted abut 10 files before I noticed this change. Arrgh. Be careful what you wish for.
Slap me and call me Sally, but I just did a file/save as/complete web page (save as type) using firefox pr1 and it saved this whole page as one file. Perhaps you should've checked firefox first? Hmmm???????????????
Not a thing. I got ripped off for a DVD ($23) so it was not worth following up. EBAY told me that since the sellers account was suspended, they could not provide user info due to privacy concerns. This was despite the fact that the seller was not suspended when I placed the order. This all happened while I waited to receive the item. I also paid via paypal using my checking account. A mistake. I should have used a credit card via paypal. Paypal was of no help at all.
Don't forget that it was the modified judgement against IBM (forbade them from bundling s/w and h/w) in the late 50s that set the stage for the M$ monster today. IBM told M$ to require a license for DOS for every PC a manufacturer made, even if DOS were not installed. The rest is history.
The really cool part of this is that message labs uses ".asp" pages so I can't scroll down the main message using Firebird. Gotta use M$ Aiee! if I want to see the entire page. LOL.
I found that in some cases of pcs running win2kpro (for dell and ibm). If I boot the machines without a disk in the cdr, the device does not show up. If I boot the pc with a failed burn disk in the drive, windows finds the mechanism.
I don't have this problem with CDRW.
In the cases where the lyrics are printed on the cd, I find that the text is so small and the blurry as to be next to unusable. Never had this trouble with LPs due to size of the format.
http://home.attbi.com/~palermo63/Mars_Anomalies/Se epsPaper.pdf has the sequential images you were talking about. These were taken 150 days apart. This stuff about water has been on the Enterprise Mission web site for a while. It would've been nice if some credit had been given to this body of work. Instead, the BBC article gave one the impression that this information had just been discovered.
At work, i am responsible for about 10 of the 600Es. All but one have had the battery die just after a year. You guessed it, the warrenty expires and the batteries follow. The real fun part arises when the BIOS us updated on the 600E because the BIOS update rquires a fully charged battery and will not complete even the 600E is plugged into the wall.
Someone had to say it. Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us.
Harry Harrison's "Stainless Steel Rat" & Keith Laumer's Jame Retief (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jame_Retief) series.
BugMeNot + Firefox = no need to register with the NY Times.

But it only runs under windoze. Isn't that a major defect?
Spell check...Should be there not their (e.g. There is their server.)
Let Disney build a 50s style ringed space station and run a retro space hotel. That would get space tourism up and running.

Hooh-hah!
Ooops. Missed the folder. I guess I should've created a new folder to do my saving. Sorry 'bout that. I guess you're gonna have to keep asking.

Nope, but I have used MacroVision!
