You forgot about MTS (allstream) (although you mentioned AT&T, but that was bought up by Rogers not MTS) Not that MTS will be around for too much longer, bell has been eyeing it for years since it was made private.

Well seeing that Landmark, Manitoba is the Longnitudinal centre of Canada, and that is less than 30 minutes from Winnipeg (where I live), I would have to say Thunder Bay (being another 7 hours east) is not really that close to the centre of Canada.

I'm with Shaw in Manitoba. I also bundle everything together with digital cable, but even without that the price for the 5Mb/s connection would be in the $45-55 range (in CANADIAN DOLLARS too, so much cheaper than american prices).

I'd suggest avoiding eastern Canada all together. If you must go to a big city, Vancouver is much nicer (and english speaking). Personally I live right in the middle of the country, and like that more than either coast.

That being said, if you can handle the french culture and language, go to Montreal, avoid Toronto like the plague.

IIRC I believe it had something to do with the Privacy Act that came into effect at the beginning of 2004.
Basically companies are not allowed to distribute any information they obtain on customers, so outside forces could not compel them to do so.
Again, my memory is a little fuzzy on this.

Well My ISP gave me a jump from 1.5 to 5 mbps for only a 30% increase in my bill, and my upload speed nearly tripled to 1mbps. But then again, I'm in canada and pay way less for broadband then americans anyway

Let's just have a CFL game anyway, isn't it about time, it would make for a much better video game with inherent pass-first mentality of the teams... Ok Ok, I'm canadaian and just want to be able to play as my home team in a video game for once.

Guess I need to alter ever calculator I own to correct their grevious error giving me the actual root of 2 so that they will give me your new fangled Golden mean instead...Or not...
