And which generation were these "well meaning but stupid parents" from again? Boomers, you say? How interesting.

Yeah, because we listened to the "experts" who told them not to spank (talking a swat on the rump, not beating here) their misbehaving brats..."it might damage their fragile ego". Fortunately, I didn't listed to those jackasses, and raised a very self sufficient one as a single dad.

You can improve things by cutting government. If the corrupt divide up 30% of GDP it's s lot worse than letting them divide up 10% of GDP.

Right so if we remove the police and schools we'll all be better off? Seems well thought out...

Wow, you went way out on a limb with that. Nobody suggested it, and police and schools could be just fine with huge cuts to funding. We top the list of educational funding per student for developed countries, and look what good it does. There are plenty of things to cut in the government w/o resorting to reducing critical needs. How about subsidies to oil companies for starters?

  13. Groups of people are groups of individuals, all of who individually have the rights to free speech, which is not at all negated by incorporation. However, the fact is that this "right" that CU granted corporations is in fact impeding the rights of individuals to be equally heard, because individuals can't compete when it comes to getting access to our politicians...fact.

I saw the Romney speech, and know that the context you mention is correct. And, in spite of having voted for him, this is one subject where IMO he was sadly mistaken.

  16. Oh, you meant Obama...remember he chided Romney for his foreign policy, saying that the 80s called and wants it back. Then, he was caught on open mic with Medvedev. So, yeah, if Trump colluded (still waiting on Mueller to show some evidence), by all means give him hell. But, don't pretend that it's all one sided...where did that dossier come from that the DNC bought?

  17. Re:Moscow Donald - Your Complicity with Treason on Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin Wants Justice Department To Scrutinize Big Tech (cnbc.com) · · Score: 0

Wow, so many foreign ACs trying to manipulate us here. Let me remind you, it was Obama who told Romney that the 80s were calling and wanted their foreign policy back when he (rightfully) pointed to Russia as a threat. It was also Obama who was caught on an open mic telling Medvedev that he'd be able to help more after he was reelected. You weren't screaming "treason" back then, were you!?! Or, maybe you did when classified data was found on the private email server of HRC? And, don't even pretend to believe she didn't know it was classified...everyone has ever touched classified knows she did.

Now sure, the Trump campaign clearly met with Russians to get dirt on HRC. And clearly, the DNC paid to get a dossier on Trump. Who gives a fuck where the data came from...only those who can't stand the people on the other side. So, maybe instead of listening to the dog whistles on Fox and MSNBC (I hate them equally) for once, we could start focusing more on what's right for the nation.
