Seriously...the amount of people on this board who bash MS...it gets annoying. Yes, there are things you can do with Linux & not with Windows. Yes, Bill Gates is filthy rich and I'd love to have his money and I'm jealous as hell.

But...fuck...just trashing on MS 'cause "everybody else is doing it" is...I'm not sure what. Stupid is the only word I've got.

Okay, so it does suck a little that Microsoft is not supporting their software before they officially said they would stop supporting it.

    However...

NT? That's like the 95 of the NT Kernel. Please move on...there is nothing else there. Microsoft seems to realize this. They're just trying to kill it off. (Much like they are working to kill of 95/98/ME by writing applications that DO NOT WORK for those systems. Ex. Office 11)

Call me stupid (okay...so...don't), but I kinda like the "garish" Windows XP look. Besides, with a good StyleXP skin, Windows can look downright cool.

Honestly, I find the original Windows look...boring...

  7. Actually...I Agree... on Microsoft: Because Bugs are Cool · · Score: 1

Yes, there are (many) bugs in software. Windows has 'em, Linux has 'em -- any large piece of code is going to have bugs. No matter how much testing is peformed all the bugs cannot be caught due to what kind of stresses users put software through. (Today's testing methods are very inefficient...but that's a whole 'nother store.)

Anyway, whether this story is real or not, I have to agree with "Bill." I think idiot users are half the problem. I used to help with tech support as a summer job awhile back, and when customers called in complaining about some piece of software, it was, 90% of the time, something they had done that was very stupid. I mean, hell, wouldn't software design be extremely easy if designers didn't have to worry about "error catching" and "user input"? Most definitely.

Okay...my two cents. Spend it how you will.
