I think it's because favicon.ico is supposed to be in Windows ICO format, not JPEG format. It can't render a JPEG as an ICO, so it craps out (pun intended).
Ugh. I like my phone to actually look like a PHONE. Most of these new Nokia phones have downright ugly keypad layouts. This is no exception. Personally, I'd rather Nokia make these for the 5100 series or something. (semi-permanent labels?)

Thing is, you're going to have to add a PCI-based IDE controller if you want more than two IDE drives (each channel only supports one drive). That makes it a LOT bigger. Personally, I'd like a cool-looking Mini-ITX case the size of the old submicrotower HP cases (6535, etc.) that can take 2 5.25" drives and 4 3.5" drives (one sideways).
At my school, users aren't able to install hardware (or mount drives (keep in mind, there's a difference between mounting in Windows - giving a drive/folder a drive letter - and mounting in Linux - adding a drive to the hierarchy) unless the server pushed a script at it telling it to do so), effectively stopping USB flash keys - they've never been plugged in in that box, they're not installed, they can't use them. They can't use floppy disks. In other words, no writable removable media. However, this was done to stop viruses entering our system, and CDs are still allowed by the server! WTF!
ATI drivers on Win2K REALLY don't like being run as admin. They need to be logged in as admin (and then, they still don't work)
OT, but does anyone know of a WORKING Win2K ATI Rage 128 Ultra driver for the Dell Dimension 4500 (I sure as hell didn't pick that model - this is for a box at my school)? Dell has an XP driver (on 2k, it says that I need Windows XP), and DriverGuide.com has a driver that shows the splash screen, and then stops working.
What's wrong with a TrackPoint? It's not wireless, and it's not optical, but if IBM made one that could be clicked (wheels can be clicked - why not TrackPoints?) and was wireless (not too hard - just need wireless mouse technology), that would do the job damn well.
By the way, I think Big Lots usually has these for $15. Big Lots is a good place to get stuff that's just been discontinued (technology, food, tools, pet stuff, etc.), as that's how they get most of their stock.
Speaking of MS's "new" idea, Big Lots (think dollar store, but higher prices - and better items) has had 4D scroll mice for a couple years now. They've had dual wheel scroll mice (FIVE fucking buttons!) for at least a year.
BTW, my favorite mouse would have to be the Logitech First Mouse Wheel. Good basic design, reliable, good feel, etc. They have a basic optical mouse, but it doesn't look the same as the FMW - and looks like it would feel crappy.
I had an AppleMouse// (compatible with the//c) that shipped with MousePaint. Jane (a GUI-based office suite) and PublishIt also used the mouse (although PI was only 1337 on an Apple IIGS - 128K RAM wasn't QUITE enough to play with and do anything useful...)
Hmm... I'd rather have a gzip+diff accelerator that needs a client. gzip it, cache it at the ISP AND client, diff it with the current version, send the differences only to the current user if they've already got the page.
I didn't RTFy(your)A, but it's RIAA that's doing this. OK, so the 5 major labels may be causing the main influence, but that's the price everyone pays by becoming a RIAA member. Also, CDBaby is a good source of non-RIAA CDs that I've seen mentioned here.
Fuck RIAA by not going to see bands that have signed deals with RIAA member companies. Or, if you do, somehow get the message to them that you won't pay unless they go independent (in other words, you're not paying). Go buy CDs from CDBaby or something, or get your music from dmusic.com.
thedownloadplace.com. It's a KaZaA client that you have to pay for. So here goes this 12-year old's business model:
1. Get ripped off and mis-led by a KaZaA scam artist 2. Get sued by RIAA 3. Get publicized 4. ??? (It turns out to be get geeks feeling sorry for you, and donating) 5. Profit! (but how much?)
Make it a SourceForge project? (The RIAA Boycott project, with a non-RIAA music search engine - I know, there is one...) I would hope sf.net could take a/.ing, as slashdot.org can...

That's microATX.
However, it's not a Mini-ITX board. Have fun paying for anything smaller than MITX when YOU build one...
Also, when the gasoline engine is running, it charges a bigger battery, so that when you're below 25 mph, you aren't running on gas.

What about a listserv that bounces all spam from ONE addy to ALL member addys? Oh, and member addys are all spammers. Would that be punished?
Logitech makes a three button mouse. The First Mouse - 3 Button. No nonsense, huh?
Try using the MS mouse without the MS drivers (or the Logitech with the MS drivers) and get back to me. The DRIVERS are giving you smooth scroll.

Xwebs? Never heard of that, but I have heard of Opera. It seems to work pretty damn well, especially on my old P75 laptop...
No, no, no. DON'T share the files, and for the love of (insert favorite open source hero here), tell your music store WHY you aren't buying CDs!

Yes, it does. No, not directly, but the person that sold the used CD gets money that may be used to buy another new RIAA CD.

Nah, their assholes are bigger than the goatse guy's - when they're NOT stretching them... I think we need nuclear missiles for this job...
