I think I'd rather just buy an Afterburner kit for the GBA that I already have. If I have to pay for another adapter to use headphones, and not be able to use the rechargable batteries I already have, I don't think the new lit screen is worth it.
From what I'm hearing, they either reduced or eliminated the jitter. I think there's a preview disc out sometime next month of the first ep or two (at CDJapan) that I know people are going to decide whether they want the entire box or not with. Preview disc is under $13 before shipping.
These discs are remastered as opposed to the existing ADV discs which are from the originals. Apparently these reduce the screen jitter if not eliminate it etc. I _think_ I've read something about 5.1 sound in this version also, not too sure. And again, it's an R2 release. Discs in Japan routinely cost of equivelant of anywhere from $30-50USD.
ADV Films and Pioneer Animation have huge chunks of the new anime coming to the states also. I think ADV alone has something like 300 discs planned for release this year alone.
