These are the Symbol units, right? When I was working at Best Buy years ago we had the same problem with 2.4GHz cordless phones. Our previous phone stopped working and when we replaced it the phone pretty much made the Telxon units useless anywhere around the phone. Ended up just replacing the new one with yet another 900MHz phone.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same thing.
Eh, the only button I know for sure where it is, is Z. And that's only because I hit the darned thing by accident half the time I use the system.
I don't have that problem with the dual shock controller.
It all depends on the person.
"There is no better example of how theft dims the magic of the movies for everyone than this report today regarding BitTorrent providing users with illegal copies of Revenge of the Sith."
So, Bittorrent walked into a theater and recorded it? Or did Bittorrent walk in and steal a master and capture it?
I know that people usually give objects personalities and human qualities, but saying that the protocol is responsible for the piracy is silly.
Well, when I was working at Best Buy there were countless times that a person would come up to me with -insert M rated game here- and ask, "My kid asked me to pick this game up for them, do you think it's ok?"
Now, I assume that the parents that ask are the minority (Perhaps incorrectly, perhaps not). For each one of them, how many parents are out there that are perfectly willing to pick up a new hot game for their kid without checking the ratings or reviews?
"and it allows TiVo to extend to Comcast subscribers the advertising it sells in the form of interactive video clips that automatically appear in the TiVo menu."
Uhm, don't I already get video clips like that in the existing Comcast menu? What are they going to do? Try and sell me TiVo through that? I'm not
When you have how many hundreds of thousands of people signing onto a new MMORPG, let alone one that produced record breaking sales, do you expect the votes to skew to something else?
Personally I like Final Fantasy XI better and would vote that higher, but when there are a higher number of players in World of Warcraft for each FFXI player now... again, not surprising.
Sorry, I wasn't implying 3-5 mins to reinstall Windows. I didn't word myself correctly.
I was talking about your step 2, which didn't even seem that difficult to me. I explained what I had done with my computer and they had no problems giving me the code I needed.
Reinstalling Windows is indeed a hassle, I have no beliefs that it is not. However, that's not what I was intending to argue.
For all the people complaining about this activation.
How many times do you reinstall Windows?!
I can see maybe if you're in a strange company setting where they use a version that requires it, it may be a hassle, but I don't see most people reinstalling Windows more than once or twice a year. I guess more if you completely hose a system. That's what? 3-5 minutes? When I had to call them the one time my system had determined I changed hardware too much, it took about 1 minute for them to give me the hash I needed. I don't consider that bad at all.
"Mr Slattery called himself an iTunes customer who "was also forced to purchase an Apple iPod" if he wanted to take his music with him to listen to. "
Sorry, I doubt anyone was holding a gun to his head and actually forcing him to buy an iPod. It's his choice to use iTunes instead of the Real or MS stores, and it's his choice to not rip his own music.
There are plenty of ways for him to use another player with Apple's iTunes music. My favorite is writing a mix CD for my car and then ripping the resulting CD for use in any other "hard drive digital music players" of my choice.
The modified consoles, some holding 15 or more games already copied to the hard drive, were on open display in the stores.
I have a feeling that the 'Conspiracy to commit yadda yadda yadda' charge is just something tacked onto a main charge in the case.
That being said, I've been waiting a while for Pandora's to be taken down for something. Be it videogame or movie piracy... -Anything- to get them out of business would make me happy.
This review I guess is ok. It's informative at least for someone like me who hasn't played the game to any real extent. However, I'm not likely to believe that there are -no- faults. This review doesn't say -anything- about any problems anywhere in the game. Be they graphic glitches, quest/npc problems, spell or battle errors, etc. Now I understand there very well may not be any of that, but again I find it hard to believe WoW is a -perfect- release.
I have my own reasons for not playing WoW, but they're mostly my own opinions (I don't like the way the game looks, don't like the no xp penalty thing, etc).
I was reading through my Comcast AUP last night and came across 2 sections:
"(xxii) interfere with computer networking or telecommunications service to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, denial of service attacks, flooding of a network, overloading a service, improper seizing and abuse of operator privileges and attempts to "crash" a host; and
(xxiii) violate the rules, regulations, or policies applicable to any network, server, computer database, or Web site that you access."
Now, in theory at least, couldn't they state that a program like this screensaver that floods a network against their (the other network's policies) violate these two sections? I know it's not "supposed" to be a DDoS attack, but it is still flooding a network with unnecessary traffic.
Can anyone tell me whether or not that would be accurate?
Seriously, with all the different systems out there people are expecting a perfect piece of software? Sure, you may have dropped IE for it because of security flaws or whatever reason but that's no reason to expect the entire world from Firefox.
Flame away if you want, but I've come to have lower expectations from each new piece of software I come in contact with. There are always more things that can go wrong.
But if you already state you dislike first person games, is a Metroid game supposed to change that immediately?
I've heard this same statement plenty times and still don't get it.
Kind of along the same topic. I've been using a VNC server to control a media center computer. Previously I had been using Windows Remote Desktop and the PocketPC terminal services client. While that works, it didn't allow me to log on and still display the main screen to my TV. I switched to VNC and have only found one VNC Viewer program for my PocketPC. Is there anything that may be a bit better than this? VNCViewer seems to have issues with completely hiding the bar on the top with the task switcher icon so I keep needing to quit the program to go to another.
Is there something that does resolution scaling for the PPC or do you guys thing I'm out of luck?
I didn't even bother trying to find/create scripts for it. When I was poking around the net trying to find information on the cable, I found that the script built-in (To at least 10.3.3) for Sprint PCS worked fine with it. It was indeed pretty slow, but on the other hand I didn't see any extra charges for it on the next bill, so it was all good.:)
And I'm stuck reading that quote in Leonard Nimoy's voice. Damn you Civ!
Also the memory stick/etc reader and wifi...
I guess I'm alone in actually already buying it versus downloading it?
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same thing.

I have the same tshirt, because that's where I started gaming for the most part. :|

That could just be me though.

At least put the 2 in there and I'll agree with you. :P
... are you sure they weren't Thieves using the 'Flee' ability? That's a normal ability that speeds them up.

Is if the USPTO's search page made use of the IsNot operator.
Chances are, if you're explaining why it's a ground white powder it wouldn't be to school administrators. :)

I'm using a Dell Axim X3i (Integrated WLAN card).
