Hey come on thats well out of order!

He may wish to work for a deranged power mad nutcase intent on world domination but even he has some morals.

Anyway Bill Gates offered him the a role at MS.

Would it be ok to spell it $CO from now on, especially since they seem to be in bed with M$?

AFAIK not so long back MS owned about 12.5% of SCO (before the merger), from an original 25% when then sold their Xenix software to SCO in the mid 80's. SCO rebadge/further developed this to the original SCO Unix.

I wonder how hard old habits die ??

As an also I wonder if the code that SCO is shouting about was in Linux pre 95 when Novell clearly owned the license. If so then since Novell at the time didn't complain I wonder if there is a tasit license??

This wasn't questioned (my password not _really_ being p15s0ff ) but the interviewer just noted it down.

I currently have eight or nine password to remember - each for different systems/subsystems, emails, slashdot, bank accounts etc..

Sometimes its embarrassing to phone up your bank (credit card, mobile phone operator, etc.) and when you fail to remember your password ask for a clue for it

Worringly is the amount of "hints" when I ask for said clue - try it the next time you call up your bank!

What the french are there for is incase we met any aliens.

As you know the French are so good at running away from a battle that as soon as they see the alien (and therefore the first sniff of possible trouble) they wil start back for earth - and complete the return trip home in less than half the time....

Infact NASA (even if it doesn't find any aliens) will claim they have to get the French to start running - so halving the return flight time

But you could always try asking some of the plethora of the massive global banks (i.e. MSDW, CSFB, UBS, HSBC, Lehmanns, Barcleys, RBOS, HBoS, LloydsTSB, DKW, DB, etc...) who use it for many things including real-time global trading systems

Or go onto any jobsite (i.e. Jobserve) and search under "C++" and then "Java" and see the numbers (when i did 29th/03/03 at 11am uk time the numbers were 1201 [java] and 1251 [c++])

Or troll on comp.lang.Java.* (or /.) with a "Java sucks C++ is better" and see what happens

Oh yeah and it was started up in July 2002.
