Seriously? You think thats what goes into making a decision for a $10B dollar program. What use is the F18 w/o the AESA? Seriously Hindi? Have you ever stepped out of your goddamn village in the US? BTWdo you know what the US did to Pakistan? Pakistan paid for the F16's and are still waiting. The sanctions are real, they were enforced when India went nuclear. and India did suffer and they of course have that in mind.
Well there is more to this than just the fact that US is re-discovering Nuclear Power. India has thrown open its 150 billion dollar business of setting up power plants. The french/russian/japanese folks already are busy setting up base here. The US India 123 agreement was just a means of securing power contracts to the US nuclear fuel industry. What's not very well known is that India and its indigenous Fast Breeder Program is miles ahead of the US/World. This is primarily the reason why many of Indian nuclear facilities are still not covered under the 123 agreement. The US is itching to get its hands on this. India i guess is the only country actively running a FBR. India with its Thorium reserves is well on its way to gain a massive edge in another 20 years when its comes to Nuclear Power.
I live in India and 90% of 15 year olds don't access the internet. They wouldn't even know Microsoft or Google, forget twitter. i and technically literate and i write a blog sometimes, but i still don't get it, why should i text tweets or update my status every few hours? twitter is just a big bubble waiting to burst when people realize its fun no more
Can you name 100 different consumer electronic products that are selling well in markets today and have "Indian" code in them? You cant can you? I can....i can probably write 200, but then would that affect you lack of understanding..so your fukn rant that "Name one Indian project..." is just that....a fukn rant!
We write code that goes in BIOS, firmware and the finnish linux kernel in thousands of american products that are selling making your fukn economy survive.. You know what i truly cant find good American code. I have reviewed american code which make me ROTFL...my grandmother would write better code.
This just goes to prove the technical prowess Indians and India has. Of course there will be a backlash from the usual suspects about how India can afford to send rockets and blah! Atomic Energy, Space, Computer Software, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles, BioTech are just some of the fields in which Indians dare i say are amongst the Top 5. Sooner than later, the world will have to live with the fact the Indians and Chinese are going command respect and will no longer be looked down upon.
they program user level code wihout understanding how the os works. if they knew os internals, they would program better. i gave them an assignement - a simple object file. ask them to write out the source code by going through the asembly. helps them get a fair idea about what assemble language programming is. get the idea?
I have been using a Solaris 10 for 1.5 months now on an x86 and i can say, its solid. im not into the gui experience thing, so dont have comments on that.
1) USB plugging - dint work for me for a buffalo clip drive.
2) Input types for japanese with a japanese key board works great. not that i understand japanese, but my client uses it bigtime.
3) Im waiting to see the kernel source code.
4) read reviews about dprobes, but couldnt use it. mdb is a good debugger i should add.

Great Point! The fact is we havent "grown up" as yet with regards to medical science. have we even scratched the surface of understanding the brain?
