    I think you're thinking of NFL, not MLB. I watch Oakland A's games all the time (in my home in the Bay Area), and they're hardly ever sold out.

    No. Nobody expects you to upgrade a thing. If you want to use a 24 pin dot matrix printer (if you remember what those were) and your tried-and-true word processor, go for it. But, if you *choose* to use newer "whatever", you should pay for it.

    The easy way to get the rules is Tools/Adblock/Preferences, click Help and choose "Load default filters from web." hope this helps

    At the risk of my precious "positive" karma, I'd like to know what /.'ers opinions are about how MS got to be who they are today.

    Since it wasn't overnight their current power came to be, they must have done *something* right (at least in the context of American capitalism).

    I'm curious - what did the steelworkers and loggers reinvent themselves as, exactly? And did they still have to pay back their steelworking and logging degree loans from college, or were those forgiven?

    Yes, but what about trackable things that were installed in your car? And they can't be removed/disabled without threatening your warranty?
