I have oftened wished that I could do what Dave Barry has done.
Particularly annoying are the recorded messages that I continue
to get on m business line. On occasion I have called the 800 numbers
to express my displeasure. Simply calling in ones and twos isn't going
to work. What we really need is for someone to organize a web site
where people can report these incidents. If we all band together
and call these companies 800 numbers simply to express our viewpoint
then maybe this activity will become too expensive for companies to
exploit anymore. Anyone up for it?
With all the renewed focus on fighting SPAM it has occurred to me that this could be a good business opportunity. It seems that small business could use someone who could not only help them to nail down mail servers but also someone who has experience with getting issues like being blacklisted resolved. A combination techie and advocate who knew who to call to get issues resolved quickly. Someone who has contacts throughout the industry. Anyone interested?
That was when I got myself a Nokia 7160.
It doesn't have all the features of the Palm
but it's a heck of a lot more convenient.
I also like the small form factor. I've been
holding out on ugrading it because I don't
really care for the wide "PDA with built in
cell phone" format. I much prefer the phone
with built in PIM functgions. Today most of
these are lagging in performance.
Never had a problem *anywhere* in the U.S.

I'm still playing rouge and hack.

Yeah, I would really like to get a 7650. Except that I want to ditch cingular and I can't use one with verizon.
