    If you want to use them with scheme, use Kawa (www.gnu.org/software/kawa)

    If you want yo use them with tcl, use Jacl (I dont remember the url).

    Your point is silly. RMS is just recommending to call the whole system GNU/Linux, because it is fair with the GNU movement.

    *Doesnt it remind you of Slashdot bitching about Sun not giving credit to the Blackdown Team for the Linux JDK? The license let Sun call it whatever they want.*

    Of course RMS knows the license lets them call it whatever they want to call it. He created the license, after all. He, like a lot of people, finds fair to call the whole system GNU/Linux.

    Eh? I dont see the conection between interpreted languages and Free Software. Only because you have to distribute the source of your program to make it run on another machine, it doesnt mean It is Free Software.

    I can distribute my Python, Perl or Lisp programs with a propietary license. I can distribute my Java programs with an Open Source license :)

    Hell with backward compatibilty. Sun has made a great work with the Java language so far. If AWT doesnt work, replace it! I dont want Java to need aeons to change something that can be improved. Java is becoming a mature language, most of the guys criticising it havent written more than 20 lines of java.

    I think Applets have hurted Java a lot. First, people think Java==applets and second, Browsers JVMs implementation are awful.

    You can't write big applications with Perl. You are not able to understand your own code in perl one week after you wrote it, if it has more than 30 lines. Perl can be faster and smaller than Java, but it is not perfect either.

    oh..you shouldnt be surprised. If it was something about mindstorms AND linux, they would be saying "ohh..linux rulzzzzzz..this thing is sooo coool". But no. It is Jini. It is not Linux or Perl or C. So, for them, it must be wrong. It cant be cool. It must be slow.
