And only vegetarians should be able to complain about that.
Getting a crushed spinal cord sounds preferrable to being butchered then eaten. Or is it because rats are cute? (I actually am a rat owner)
Bacteria are alive to but you hardly ever hear people bitching about experiments on bacteria. Or cockroaches, or any ugly animal.
Maybe "most people can't think faster than they can type", but hunting and pecking wastes valuable thunking time:P
In fact wouldnt it be easier if your a "hunt and peck"er to change to a new layout? It may not be worth while but it would be easier than for us touch typing folks (okay I can mostly touch type)
Well "our" governement tried to push through a bill to add to the powers of ASIO (Australian Security and Intelligence Organisation) for a third time just at the start of the war. The bill would have allowed the government to hold even children (who committed double-plus ungood thoughtcrimes) for weeks with out informing any one. Fun.
I agree that the MS bashing gets a bit overboard now and again (or constantly). However the reason many people say open source is more secure is because the code is available to anyone. That means people can read the code and FIX the damn holes. This is the reason a lot of open source bugs are found. Not because the code is "worse" but because so many people are looking for and fixing bugs. Look at the relatively quick bug fixes that come out! And open source also doesnt have any financial stake with holding vital bug fixes so that the next version can be more "secure".
From the article:
"Caldera's business has been hurt by the free Linux software that IBM has been supporting, Dow Jones said, citing Darl McBride, Caldera's chief executive. Linux is a variant of Unix and isn't copyrighted."
So in other words they are trying to corner the entire UNIX (and variants market)?
And Linux isnt copyrighted WTF! If it wasnt the GPL wouldnt protect it.

Unilateral? My understanding of that is "go it alone". Lets look at the list of supporting countries of war against Iraq:

I think you should say governments! I am an Australian who does not currently support the invasion of Iraq (I believe North Korea is more of a threat, and I doubt the sense of trying to prop up Afghanistan and Iraq at the same time). Most polls here say (if you can trust them) that the MAJORITY of people are against invasion. Whatever our government says I dont believe the Australian people actually want war. So much for being a democracy.

Please send a few spare bombs south! I dont think our current government has the right attitude regarding Linux! In the aftermath they will all be sent to concentr.... I mena re-education camps to learn the joys of free software.

Seriously? What is the point of this article? What next? Linus found to prefer blue ink, over black ink?

There was a version of installshield that didnt disable the _next_ until you click _agree_. I had much fun installing programs using it.
