  1. Euro VAT a problem too on Restrictive Sales Practices on the Web? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Another problem is VAT. The EU has decided, in all it's wisdom, to charge web vendors, no matter where that company resides, VAT. That means a retailer in, say, Idaho, now has to register, collect, and remit VAT in Europe for any sales to a European customer. Is it any wonder some retailers outside Europe may consider closing sales there? And people say Socialism cannot work ;-)

  2. Linux Kto12 will NOT alter the reality of the desk on Ostrich Lessons In Oregon? · · Score: 0

You are kidding yourselves if you thinmk it will alter the desktop market space at all. Look who has had a HUGE representation on K to 12 for years: Apple. And where do they sit in the real world numbers game? 3% of the worldwide market. Get used to this one fact: people have at home what they have at work. If they work in an MS shop, chances are they use MS at home.

  3. Anime Channel? Oh God, civilization is coming to a on Want Anime Network on Your Cable System? · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Of all the stuff that gets exported to the rest of the world from Japan, Anime has to be the very worst. I find it so amazing that such absolute crap is produced by a culture so rich and sophisticated. Here this: Anime is CRAP. I cannot understand how anyone with even a scintilla of intelligence can bear to watch such boring, poorly written drivel.
