Using Eve online for a numbers comparison is practically a crime. Eve online's numbers are VERY low for the average MMO, and as pointed out in another reply Eve is a niche game while this is apparently targeted at casual gamers.
How about comparing it to Everquest? Or better yet (since it is casual gamers targeted) Yahoo games?

Honestly, nothing compares to an intelligent blend of binary newsgroups, IRC, and torrents (when I am getting desperate only!)
And I officially predict this post as flamebait
How about the Cancer Game? It is Cancerific!
Seriously though, games are becomming more integrated into many different areas people have not previously associated with video games. There has been a TON of stories recently about games being used for education and such.
Is it really surprising though? Games are just a relatively new media afterall. From written text, to pictures, to movies every medium has found uses in a wide range of fields. Games are such a new medium they have not proliferated very far yet, but I don't find this idea any more surprising then movies being used.
I can confirm that gay men enjoy playing other games as well. After all I always see people on CounterStrike calling each other 'Faggots' and 'Totally Gay'.
Infact I see that so much that I would go to estimate about 90% of CounterStrike players must have a homosexual sexual preference.
"Among the panel members were Nolan Bushnell... Who? Come on your kidding right? This guy is like the father of the entire gaming industry.
I agree. The fact that these images have been enhanced and they are still so boring is not a very encouraging thing for this, uhm, new art medium.

agreed. Poor choice of a 'story'

An MP3 player on the GBA would be pretty limited, considering it only has mono sound output.
