The liberator pistols (and probably the Vietnam era Deer Guns too) have been melted down as scrap. The Deer Gun had to be reloaded by poking out the spent shell casing with a stick and then reloading by hand with one round of.45ACP. The Vietnam version, called the Deer Gun required its user to unscrew the barrel to reload its single shot of 9x19mm parabellum.
He forgot the Metropipe Virtual Machine, for the tinfoil hat crowd.
Actually, it's a nifty little program, and it'll be niftier when it boots under Windows, Linux and the as-yet-unreleased OSX. It'll be nice to have a little slice of Deus on my thumbdrive if I need ^H^H^H^H^H want to use a familiar interface.
nooooo they didn't.
3rd edition has them all listed by class:
Demons
Balors
Quasits
Devils
Pit Fiends
Imps
etc. There's even a nice little blurb describing the nine circles of the Inferno and the Abyss, too -- for those poor dumb DMs who run characters powerful enough to conquer Hell.
The pro-gay message in Spongebob isn't in the show -- it's in a pledge linked to by some Spongebob promo materials: basically, 'I won't be an ass to anyone just because they're a different race, religeon, or sexual orientation'
Yes it is, but it's already been done -- MandrakeMove tried it, but it never took off since you had to pay for USB key compatibility.
A free implementation of the same would be awfully nice, though.
I predict this becoming big with the tinfoil-hat crowd -- they'll burn one session with music and keep it in their discman until they need it; then they've got their bootable Linux, and a way to get data out of a secure...
This is reading like the plot of Alias, isn't it?
Who cares. This is cool enough that I'm going to keep a copy in my backpack.
Disclaimer: I don't own a mac, but I do use an iPod.
Mhz is the least important measure of a chip, since by increasing it you decrease the number of CPU cycles that're carrying data.
A Seti@home/Folding@Home dataset (IIRC it was folding) that usually takes about twelve hours on a pc will finish in about two on a G5, back when they were single-processor -- the on-campus computer store was playing around with their display model.
Still, until Half-Life 2 is available Mac native, few will buy them.
So, not entirely killing someone is OK if only murderers otherwise get punished? And, making only part-time slaves out of people is OK?
Yes, it is -- it's called an employment contract:)
Last time I tried photoshop elements, the interface sucked.
Photoshop Elements is for Joe Schmoe with a new digital camera that can't fix red-eye on the fly. Photoshop Elements is NOT!!!11one for the people who just like to noodle with graphics editing toys. I'm in that category. I got a free Photoshop Elements CD at a tech expo, and I'd sooner quit art than use that trash.
Why the hell are you modding this funny? It's true. (Mind you they're not usually powerful enough to actually hunt with, but the Gov't doesn't seem to like civilians having powerful weapons, re: 50bmg -- they can't seem to make up their mind lately. Either you can't use it because it's not powerful enough (5.56 NATO vs. deer) or becasue it's too powerful (.50BMG vs. Stryker) Unfortunately, these two categories sometimes seem to overlap.)
This is called grid networking, and it's expected to be the Next Big Thing; there was an article in IEEE Spectrm a month or two ago about a rollout in Nevada -- unfortunately, grid gear isn't cheap yet.
Actually, I think he was talking about Diceland Technologies. Unfortunately their webpage seems to be a placeholder, so I'll dredge up a link to the archived version. I'd still like to see those things, but I quit holding my breath a few years ago.
Religion is one of the better examples of evolution around. They all interbreed and mutate to survive their environment. Stoned any gays lately? Or adulterers?
I'm a college student. I'm sure I could find some stoned gays and adulterers if you're interested in talking to them about this.:)

Does anyone else think he looks a lot like the Gman?
Seriously, if they make a Half-Life movie, I bet he gets the part.

Someone's been watching Johnny Mnemonic, haven't they?
I can count the number of CDs that good on one hand, without resorting to binary. And I notice that you forgot to mention books...
No. How many times did you push F5? Ooooh, all those large graphic files... slower than hell... his server's suffering ^_^

Take a look.
Actually, I suspect that this hacker found out that the ivy league is violating the FERPA, a federal academic privacy law.

Not everything will boot from USB.

P2P the design on which the Internet is based? Ban the Internet!

God help us all :)
Eh, give their scriptwriter a break. He's got a lotta stuff to write between the next XXX and the next Wedding Date. :)

Hell with sending it down to earth, establish the first orbiting museum!
Now we get into the issues of marginal costs to society should the majority of people enter similar agreements, I believe.
What nobody seems to take into account is that the astronauts are willing to risk their asses to do this stuff. It's part of the job description.
