While the config is the same, the package management depends on which distro you use. If you get stuck, you can google "ppp_mppe howto your-favourite-distro", I'm sure you'll find more details.:-)
The subject says it all. There are very good C/C++ programmers and there are very bad C/C++ programmers.
Is the language really the problem?
Sure overruns and exploits can happen with C/C++, but look at Linux and how it compares to Windows. Both are build on C/C++ and both have different histories wrt to security issues associated with application programming errors irrespective of language. I'm not saying that windows is bad or linux is good. I am saying that the issue is a little over-generalised in my opinion!:-)
At my place of work/research we have an Altix. The machine has a littany of kernel problems and needs regular reboots. The stability of the system also does not compare to that of the Origin.
On the plus side, the SGI people I have come into contact with are very responsive and they really appear to perform in the face of SGI's cost-cutting.
Also on the plus side, better modeling of our Oceans will help the world understand the dangers they face.
Last time I checked (31/01/03) Nvidia's linux drivers will not suspend to disk or ram without a (very questionable) hack of the source code. What good is this machine for a Linux user?
You can compile the ppp_mppe module into your linux kernel. It's free and supported!

The GloFish website says: "just imagine what they will look like under a black light!". My answer: "stressed.". MushyC

JBoss is well designed and written by hard-working open source contributors. Sun can go to hell.
