I tried attacking your firewall that you advertise in your sig... and my little l33t h@x0r proggie said you have all kinds of good ports open:) I tried to WinNuke you to death, but I kept locking my PC up requiring a reboot. As soon as I figure out the bug, your dead meat buddy!:)
Yes, I'm 13 and stuck in 1995
Too bad you posted anonymous, I would have modded you up. As an Arkansas native, and small IT company founder, I agree with you 100%. Also, the market here for IT minded individuals is very, very scarce.
As a young company, I cannot yet afford to offer an attractive enough package for IT folks to migrate in my direction. Aside from the companies you mention, the only other large scale employer of IT are the chemical and oil corporations. The small companies like mine are subsiding on "local outsourcing" contracts with these companies, and small Government contracts.
Go ahead and "push policy to create positive outcomes". What good does more "policy" and legislation do without it being enforced like the other n-billion "policies" already on the books?
I wish I had modpoints.
Simply to mod you down into the sewers.
Guns are to protect myself from fuckwits like you that will inevitably attempt to take away my basic (and written) human rights.
How did you complete 6 consecutive semesters in two years? In all of the universities that I've experienced in the U.S., there are two full semesters per calendar year. Unless of course you are speaking of including short one month summer sessions, and we all know that you can't cover the entire curriculum in one month's time.
I had terrible experiences as well... I tried Fedora Core 1 and Core 2 Test and both of them wiped out all of my FAT32 and NTFS partitions. No, not just the FAT table or the partition mapping... erased the entire partitions. I then proceeded to spread the word to ensure that anyone I know doesn't use this piece of 'nice new Linux distribution'. As a result, RH9 stays in my arsenal for the forseeable future.
Sorry to hear of your troubles with Earthlink, I too have heard nightmare stories while trying to deal with them regarding their services. I live in an apartment complex and SBC didn't whine or bicker a single time while connecting my 6000/600 dsl service. If I am not mistaken, they too offer DSL service in Houston.
2 words... Hell [expletive deleted] Yeah!
I personally have an agenda against closed-source programming and I do everything I can to promote Linux on the x86 front.
Have any of you that can't get ahold of eBay to get something done tried calling the number listed on their domain registration? 408 376 7400 is listed as Accounts Payable.

What does your "tangent" have to do with the topic?

Remember who the parent is quoting here... the same person that said 640k ought to be enough for anybody.
'nuff said :)

I already, and have for quite some time now, use TurboLinux Desktop 10. The Japanese support is great, since it is in fact a Japanese distro!
