Maybe it is because those that get up early are "go getters", and those that sleep til noon do not.

  2. oh goodie! on Will Cameras Replace Sideview Mirrors On Cars In 2018? · · Score: -1

Car manufacturers are pushing this...hummmm....then it will be a requirement. Wanna bet they will again boost the price of an "econo-box" to 30,000 by that point? On a side note, driving today, I observed various people driving on the freeway. I'm come to the conclusion that WOMEN should be driving the NASCAR circuit. 1. They love to speed 2. They love to tailgate, which would help with drafting 3. No signals when they merge or change lanes, so they are good with that. 4. Can handle driving with one hand, since the other has a phone stuck to their ears

Anything to further the (non) science of (man made) global warming, whoops, sorry..."climate change". More UNSCIENTIFIC crap to throw to the uneducated. The reason we have so many people believing this garbage, is because of 20 years or more, they started with 5-6 year old children, and have drilled it into their uneducated heads. Tell a lie long enough, and they will believe it.

You idiots keep electing these asshats. Until this country gets sick & tired of people that HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS and throw them out, this crap will continue. Time to ditch the left & the right and hire people who know how to run a successful business to get rid of the fraud & waste in government, hold them accountable. But, as long as we have American Idol, Justin BEAVER, Honey Boo-Boo, March madness and other nonsense keeping Americans busy, this crap will continue!

For the sake of the families, nothing more. They've been through hell with the stupid 24 hour we have to find something to report on news media. CNN did a story how some thought a black hole swallowed up the plane? The problem with most of the media these days, is regardless of accuracy, they want to be the first one on the air, with a theory, no matter how stupid it sounds.

Think about it....once a kid graduates college, runs for a local political office, then moves up to a state, then federal office, and keeps getting elected for 20-30 years or more (as some federal office holders do now), technically, they stay on the taxpayer dole for life. Never once actually being off the taxpayers back. What we need to do, but will never happen, is we need to have a talk about "Big College" as we do with "big oil", "big pharm", "big agriculture" and the like. Everyone complains about the salaries of huge company CEO's, but no one really says anything about presidents of universities making 7 figure salaries, coaches making millions per year. Why is it "harmful" if some CEO makes a ton of money, and the employees make hardly nothing, and, a bunch of university big wigs making tons of money, on the backs of students?

  24. Smoking does not "cause" cancer on Leonard Nimoy: Smoking Is Illogical · · Score: -1

I don't smoke, never have, never would because at my "start smoking" years, my older sister was a nursing student, and in an attempt to stop our parents from smoking, brought back some autopsy photos of smokers. Not to mention the smell... My parents both quit, for two reasons. We kids hounded them, and my dad didn't want to pay a dollar a pack, when the price went up. Yeah, it was THAT long ago. Now, my reasoning that cigarettes don't "cause" cancer. My grandfather was in his late teens when he went off to "fight the Hun" in WW1. He came back in 1918 hooked on it was either Camel or Lucky Strikes (both unfiltered). He smoked a couple packs a day, til the early 70's, over 60 years, then quit cold turkey because he wasn't going to pay no g** d*** 75 cents for a pack of g** d*** cigarettes. He did in 1991, almost 99 years old. He had a pace maker for over 10 years, walked every day except Sunday to the "beer joint" to have a Budweiser beer until he was 95. He died because his wife had passed away almost 25 years before, all his sisters & brothers were gone, and our immediate family was it. Saw him Christmas, and looked really good, walking and everything, but gone less than 30 days later. He willed himself to pass away. When he died, not one speck of cancer. I am of the opinion, that cigarettes are not a direct cause of cancer, unless you are genetically disposed develop cancer. Why anyone would want to smoke cigarettes is beyond me, but it's still a legal product in the USA, at least.

  25. Voters don't care on How Voter Shortsightedness Skews Elections · · Score: -1

As long as they have their "virtual reality" shows, smart phone, dvr's, food & shelter and the like, they could care less. With around half of the country on some sort of public assistance, you think they would vote for someone that would make them work, or at least perform some sort of work to get that government money? Nope, fat lazy & stupid. Just look at pretty much any man on the street interview...when they show a photo of some politician, or ask a simple question about laws, history or what not, they are clueless, but, ask them which celebrity is sleeping with whom, or some athlete did last night at a party, they can quote you chapter & verse. It would be nice, if there was a simple 10 question test required before you could vote, just to weed out the stupid ones, or, make voting like it was in the colonial days...if you didn't own property, you couldn't vote since you had no stake in the game. While we're at it, repeal the 17th amendment and go back to just allowing people to vote for the house of representatives, and put the senate back into the hands of the state legislators, as it was to be done. The states have no voice in federal government, save for paid lobbyist, but they did, prior to the 17th amendment.
