    TV + torrents are like bread to butter too =)

    Just got every Gundam Wing episode (half way through, awesome), Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, The OC, Point Pleseant, and other assorted shows from it.

    There are lots of military GPS systems floating around, any real enemy would have picked one up if they were smart. Then again, the kind of people willing to blow themselves up because some book written thosands of years ago says its ok dont strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed.

    I think you will really have to be shallow to want to upgrade just for the visuals. I don't want a freaking DirectX desktop! How am I supposed to work when DirectX breaks?

    Sure, OSX is pretty, but when you are typing or doing "real" work it wont matter.

    With a firewall and anti-virus you are pretty secure at present. Dont forget that nerd common sense (why I have never had a virus run on me for at least 4 years even)

    Orwell was a literary genius and a true visionary. His quotes can be applyed in many areas. 1984 is one of the most important books ever written, I don't see a problem with it being quoted.

    My friend has been running 64 for months with a full range of apps and has never had a single problem. Microsoft just doens't want to reisk people complaining. By keeping it in "beta" people can still use it, but Microsoft keeps its face.

    XP only really increases the usablity and adds a few new features. That's the only reaosn I upgraded. Hell, my dad and brother are still both on 2000.

    Power supply is the number 1 option because people buy these 15 dollar power supplys never windering why they cost so little. They are poorly made, and when they go, they will be happy to take your computer with you.

    I was burned once for my stupidity (lost video card, mobo, and powersupply, not sure why the video card). Now I always buy top-of-the-line PSU's. The expensive ones have more features anyway like a see-through case and fan-speed controls. I am not going to risk 800+ bucks because I wanted to save 30 bucks.

    XP seems fine to me. All my utilities, programs, and games are in working order and I have never had a problem with security. Why exactly should I udgrade? The only reason I stay on Windows is for the games, and unless Micosoft has some magic optimizations it pulls out of its ass, I dont see a new operation system on here anytime soon.

    Because there is no financial reason to have one. Unless you got Gates or Allen to fund it, I don't see a commerical one ever happening.

    Actually, considering the distance it is traveling, it might very well be the safest transportation system ever devised.

    You seem to have little concept of the situation.

    A rocket/shuttle/anything uses up pretty much ALL of its fuel just to get off the ground. If we could land on the moon, not only could we go faster (full fuel + no air + moon swinging around) it would be safer because the mission would have spare fuel to use on the way to Mars. Plus you have enough fuel to get back since you would be using a capapult+rockets to get on your way.

    This safety stuff is all crap. The space shuttle is still WAY safer than traving in the car to get it.
