Even IF oil was Bush's main reason for invading Iraq (which it wasn't), I'm sure you would be the first to complain about high gas prices, or better yet complain why you can't drive your car because we don't have any gas due to the lack of oil in the US. If we did get to the point where the US was very very low on oil - we wouldn't be able to go to war to obtain more oil - because we would have nothing to power any of our vehicles, and if you think there is a solution right around the corner for an alternative energy to power our cars, at the moment there isn't (hydrogen and ethanol are not feasible yet). Food for thought.

  3. Opening Windows... on Microsoft Agrees to License Windows Source Code · · Score: 0, Interesting

I honestly do not believe a company should be forced to opening up secrets to competitors. Does this mean the competitors will open their source code up, so Microsoft can see theirs too? Seems like a fair deal to me. If Microsoft does open the source...I would be willing to bet there would be a plague of new exploits found...which is both good and bad. Good in the sense they will be patched w00t! Bad in the sense...until they are patched, its going to be a hell of time for us IT Admins :( To put this into perspective...Coca Cola has their own secret formula to making Coke, does that mean they will have to open their formula up to Pepsi? Just some food for thought...

  4. Re:How to.... on SSH Tunnels How-to? · · Score: 0

Use Hamachi. [www.hamachi.cc] It uses AES 256-Bit encryption, over the tunnel. The passwords for everythin are hashed and not stored locally. It is a zero-point configuration solution. It passes thru [most] any NAT/Firewall/VPN. It uses the UDP protocol to do so. I use it at work to remote into my computer. Works great. Cheers

  5. Free WiFi = More Customers on The Case for Free WiFi? · · Score: 0

I like the idea of free WiFi. Having to pay for WiFi may discouage some customers from even going into the cafe. As was stated in the comment, raising the price of items in the store a few cents to pay for the initial cost isnt a bad idea. The more customers that go into the store...the more likely they will be to buy something...
