As mature as things like WINE / Transgaming / PlayOnLinux get, they still won't be as good as a native Windows machine is for playing video games. It's much easier to install a game and expect it to work in Windows because the game was designed and tested to run in Windows.
This is the big reason I still use Windows at home. I love my video games too much:)

It's not a joke. On e85 my race car makes 100 WHP more power than it does on 93 OCT. e85 is MUCH cheaper than any race gas out there. e85 is similar to running 104 OCT leaded race fuel.
Get off your computer and go race a car, and you'll see its NOT a joke at all.

What remains to be seen is, even if they find the recorders, will they have readable data?
It's not easy to protect equipment against two years under 4000 meters of water.
Which begs the question...why didn't they ask for their help 2 years ago? They originally spent weeks searching while these guys found it in a weeks time.
If you've got Firefox installed, you actually have a few options.
To change your User Agent string, type the special URL "about:config" in the browser's location bar to access the browser's properties and do a right click to add a new string property with the name "general.useragent.override" and the value "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6", or really any user agent string that lacks "windows".
If you experience any problems, go back to the properties list and simply remove the new property "general.useragent.override" you just added.
I saw a video on youtube one day of a '300' workout - supposedly someone's interpretation of the workouts the actors did for the movie.
Anyways, I followed the link over to a site called, iwantsixpackabs.com.
I watched a few of the workout videos and decided I had nothing to loose. I just recently finished the 16 workout program. I started at 179 lbs, and am now at 155 lbs. There was a lot of pain and agony along the way, but getting into a routine and keeping it fun was VERY helpful.
I changed my diet - cut soda / alcohol / high sugar drinks out - except my morning coffee:) - No junk food in between meals - I would drink water if I got hungry. I made sure to eat breakfast EVERY day (2 scrambled eggs).
I had to get myself motivated and mentally ready - as I made bets with my friends that I would finish the program. The biggest motivator was people telling you - oh you can't do it, or you won't finish - but when you do...ahh your all *smiles*:)
I went yesterday morning into the Kwik-E-Mart in NYC.
They were handing out the pink donuts !
They even had Krusty O's and Buzz Cola!!
We'll have to see how they taste as I bought both Buzz Cola and Krusty O's.
Hahaha, I felt like I was in the cartoon yesterday, it was really a good time, If you love the Simpsons, you should DEF go:)
I can't wait to graduate come August and your considering ANOTHER YEAR?!
WOW
I am not going to lie, I'm tired of the professors, the HW, the studying, and the projects. I just want to get paid already.
Your NUTS if you go for another year 'just for grades' - life isn't just about grades, man. If you can show your future employer that you know what you are doing, are easy to get along with and work well with people - I say thats more than school will ever teach you.
I have to say - after my four years - I have learned more outside the classroom, than I have inside the classroom (not just about computer engineering, but about people and life in general). As long as you had a productive life the past fours years outside the classroom as much as you did inside the classroom, I'd say get a job - cause after your first job - the grades won't matter anymore. [ Sometimes today, for the bad or worse, Experience > Education ].
Good Luck !
| Microsoft gives you Windows. Linux gives you the whole house.
Statements like that - actually really grind my gears.
First off this is his view and if he feels this way he can raise his children however he pleases.
Second, parents can raise their children however they please.
Third, I dont feel a government could/should enforce a 'law' to govern such things, mostly because it has NOTHING to do with the government. I wouldn't want some stranger to make parenting decision for me.
People saying Vista is going to be a terrible OS just because of so called computer 'gossip' they heard [hello juding a book by its cover]! I went a TechNet meeting last week on Vista. After sitting in an auditorium for 4 hours, listening and watching what Vista can do, I can't wait to upgrade.
Vista has matured greatly since Beta 2 (as I had run Beta 2 and am currently running Pre-RC1 right now and RC1 will be installed later tonight). I would greatly appreciate people actually installing it and then saying why its no good after they have something to back-it-up with.
Thanks,

I have the last gen laptop that utilizes a mobile processor and I love it. It takes everything I can throw at it.
Definitely check out their new lineup, seems like it would be a perfect fit for what you are trying to accomplish.

Just incase your having the problem, here is the easiest way to uninstall the update.
/uninstall /kb:2823324 /quiet /norestart" without the quotes.
:)

You should be good to go now

I always like to use TurnKey Core for such things http://www.turnkeylinux.org/core
It's small, lightweight and runs very quickly even on older hardware. It does a great job.

That statement isn't true at all.
For a long time nvidia may have had the FPS crown, but the how the actual graphics looked on a radeon were MUCH better.
Quality vs Quantity, as seen here:

This will be good news for Enterprises that want(ed) to deploy Firefox but didn't because of Mozilla's release schedule.
Now if there was only a way to control/deploy this through group policy, then Firefox in the Enterprise will really take off.

Congrats to HTC for actually knowing what their customers want and giving it to them.
Hopefully some other companies follow suit as well!

This comment made my day.
I was just talking to my buddy about this very thing last night, I can't stand using Unity!

Can't say I didn't see this coming... RIM's had a terrible year. -th3r3isnospoon
It's just like any other OS. You need to know what your doing.
A poorly setup Linux box will be worse than a locked down Windows install. Everyone knows this.
To say Linux itself is inherently vulnerable is an ignorant statement.
