I only buy from independent (non RIAA) labels. only go to shows if the band is non RIAA. I buy plenty of new CDs, but only when I know my money isn't buying a congressional lobby. RIAA stuff I'll borrow or I'll pick up used. mp3s I use to check out a new band and as a backup copy on my hard drive.
I wouldn't mind dealing with the RIAA if they were more respectful of the music they commodify. but as it is there's nothing interesting being signed today to RIAA labels so they can shove it.
I would really like to see google implement a web-log filter for searches. I don't think I've EVER found any kind of interesting or useful information on a web-log page.
google would vastly improve their product IMO if they simply erased all the most popular blog domains.
b: is reserved for the 'second floppy,' but (as always, cf dos 1.0) you can use one disk drive, but reference two disks on it.
"insert disk for drive B:"
of course you can also re-assign your drive letters...
the reason it's letters is because people will have ten drives, but rarely more than 26. of course its also a little known fact that you can assign crazy drive names in DOS like "]:"
os/2 v3 was awesome. it's too bad MS didn't take notice of those drawers in the launcher - I'm forced to run win98 for protools (so out of convenience the rest of my audio apps partition follows) and, oh, what I would give to be able to expand folders from the quick start menu.
>fees to pay to the RIAA
no, the RIAA pays *them*.

don't get me started on that OSX dock. that bulging stuff is awful. on the plus side, it took me 15 seconds to figure out how to turn it off.

once my dad ran into Peter Norton in vegas. he came back with a copy of El Commandante Norton. even before I knew spanish it was insanely great.
qualye quotes (like gore quotes and bush2 quotes) are more often false. snopes does attribute this one to him though.
