Not a joke. It's just that sometimes I have seen people respond to it and it makes me wonder if it's worth spending the 5 mins to read through it.
But no, as you suggest, every time I see it I scroll past it as I cba. But that people mention hosts files in it, I can't help but wonder if there is anything interesting in it. I can't see how a hosts file could relate to propaganda.
Additionally, simply reading it would answer my question and, possibly, be quicker than asking like this. Problem is, I just really CBA:)
I always find that in general people are more likely to post negative experiences than positive ones as you don't go out 'on a mission of disgust' if you are happy. It's also the marketing divisions job to paint the pretty picture.
So, with that said, I want to add to the list of very satisfied customers. I got my Hero3 Black and, despite the rather outrageous cost, could not be happier with it. So far it's been skiing (On my head, on my ski tips, on my ski pole) with me & my 4yo, it's been offroading on my RC crawler (Quite the harsh ride), it's been looking under the ice when ice fishing, it's been swimming with me & my son and I have a whole host of other activities I plan to use it for as the summer approaches.
What if your kid has grandparents in a different country and the GoPro you just bought is the only reasonable way to get footage of your 4 year old while he's learning to ski? The only thing said Grandmother really looks forward to is video of her grandchild doing cool stuff.
I don't film my kid to bore my friends senseless with crappy home videos, that's just an added side benefit:)
Oh and before you remind me to re-read your post, I don't have enough limbs to film my kid while helping him learn to ski. Whenever he is doing something active, I am always the one in there doing the activity with him. I am also the one who is prepared to film stuff, so the wide angle and worry free nature of the GoPro is perfect.
To be fair, he only said you don't have the right to do it. He didn't say you shouldn't do it:) (He said if you believed what you said, you *would* stop doing it, but not *should*)
Actually, I guess I broke my not-well-though-out theory as the Radio is my favourite version. But in my mind, the Marvin in the radio version is the TV Marvin. I think that's what I was (badly) trying to get at lol. This could just be due to the actors being the same though.
The TV version is actually pretty dire in so much as most low budget TV from those days was. I still love it though:)
I actually read LOTR quickly before watching the films as I didn't want the films to ruin it, so I guess it didn't matter then:). Anyway I think I got bored lol. I'm not a very good reader - the only, errr, trilogy I have ever managed to read is HHGTG lol.
Tell me this though, when you read the book, did you end up imagining the characters based on those from the cartoon, or did you 'start afresh' so to speak?
Though I agree with your sentiment in principle, when I was a child, the TV series was my first exposure to the story and thusly, for me*, the TV Marvin is the real one (It also had the correct voice which helps the continuity).
I also went on to consume said story in every other form that I could find, and liked them all, bar one. it helped that, for the most part, the radio and TV show had the same voices.
However, I know some people that will have seen the film first and to them, *that* is the real Marvin and that just makes me want to curl up & shudder.
*I have always supposed that for any given story or song, the first version you experienced will always be the greatest in your own mind. Haven't found many exceptions to this rule yet.
So, basically, the brakes on a large lorry are insufficient to slow it down without fading?
I didn't realise that was the issue. I always assumed the engine braking they do was to reduce wear on brakes rather than because of insufficient brakes.
I hear the lorries using engine braking all the time here (but didn't know that they were doing it using that method; using the exhaust stroke to compress the air and then release it at the top. Interesting and explains the noise), but I don't recall hearing it at all while growing up in the UK. Our lorries there are rather different to those over here (Canada). It's possible that the UK ones have it too but I think I'd have remembered the sound if they did as it's quite distinctive.
Which leads me to wonder, do the lorries in the UK have better brakes than the ones in North America?
Either way you look at it, however, the braking is still limited by the coefficient of friction between the tyres & road, so my original comment stands:)
I have a lower UID and I can NOT vouch for said link.
So what happens now?
As others have mentioned, a great post.
I hope you don't mind if I quote it. I tried googling parts of it to see if you grabbed it somewhere but it seems to be genuine OriginalContent. :)
What do you get if you multiply six by nine?
Rapture happens.
YHD
RTFC. He's replying to a suggestion of using some steganography :)
I do (did).
No but it does come with uncomfortable silences.

Was not a joke :)
I have not read one of these posts yet. Is it worth it or is it just drivel?
She just bought one of these: http://www.samsung-smt.com/product/product_view.asp?idx=6719#tabview2
Now I don't know how much that bad boy costs, but I imagine they are doing OK in the cash department, though the gesture is commendable :)
Why would it float in a vacuum?
Now that *WOULD* be magically ground breaking tech ;)
Because cutting edge materials never get cheaper when a valid use is found for them and they start getting produced on industrial, economical scales.

Very happy!

If that was the case, who was in the Vogon office lining up in the film?
(hint: The TV Marvin)
Well eff me, I didn't notice! lol
(Note that I said "errr, trilogy"). :)

Yes, they have more weight transfer due to heavier loads, but the eventual maximum braking force is still reliant on the coefficient of friction...
You say drivers heaven but link to what seems to be a very long, straight, road.
Why would you need a Lotus for this?
