    all of these problems would have occurred 2 decades ago if they were a real problem. we aren't running out of oil anytime soon inspsite of what the rabid global warming nutters want you to think. most of the price rises are due to artificial restrictions on supply.

    most reputable models point to a leveling out of the worlds population at 10 billion. personally seeing as we are at 6.6billion now i think we will pass that point by another 5.

    The reason we will peak is because if it wasn't for immigration developed countries would have had a negative growth rate, that coupled with the AIDS virus and effective birth control. poor countries will develop and large families will not be needed anymore. http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn1108-global-population-to-peak-in-2070.html

    your missing the whole point.

    places like TPB thrive not because people won't pay for content (ok some never will, but most will), itunes is an example of how successful downloads can be. TPB thrives because people can download whatever they want, when they want and not wait for media outlets to get around to releasing it in their region.

    for example australia is months behind on most tv shows, but 1 hour after it's aired in the USA it can be downloaded in hidef 5.1 sound.

    I think the core problem is this has totally changed the playing field for tv networks and their directors just don't know how to cope.

    if you want to talk statistics lets look at 40 deaths in 28 years. given the number of nut jobs police face each say (and yes it's a lot more then anyone thinks) 1.4 deaths a year is incredibly low. the chances that they were anything other then self defence is nil.

    and don't talk to me about tazers or pepper spray. they don't put crazy's and druggies down.

    The idea sounds better then it is. in execution the show was slow and dull, with robots always getting stuck or unable to land the killing blow.


    maybe if it got some funding behind it and some interesting idea's came out of it it's be more fun, but the designs are all predictable and revolve around the overhead axe or a flipping motion.
