    trusted computing means media giants and software vendors don't need to trust you, thats the whole point of it. you can provide all the security they are proposing without any lock in. MS is chosing to make this user unfriendly, it's not needed to design a secure terminal at all.

    i think labour latched onto it as well at some point but let it drop. to my knowledge non of howards ministers have put it forward, although they did take the rediculous move of outlawing online gambling in australia. it wouldn't suprise me that they have all talked favourably about internet censorship at some point to suit thier own agenda's.

    unfortunately for you, it is only a matter of time before they start blocking other "distastful" sites, such as competing companys or politicals. internet blocking simply does not work, especially not against pedo's who are well known to be tech savvy and organised, the telco's know this, so why are they really doing it?

    "First of all the sun remains constant." completely wrong. the sun is NOT CONSTANT. it's ouput varies wildly with solar flares and obviously with the seasons and other solar cycles. "Secondly the evaporation from shallow channels would be much higher then deep colder bodies of water like lakes, rivers or the ocean." AGAIN you couldn't be more wrong. evaporation has nothing to with with depth, and everything to do with SURFACE AREA, of which the ocean clearly dwarfs our irrigation.
