    i love all the people commenting on this that don't work in the resource sector, and have no idea about drilling.

    the reason top kill is only being used now is because it took longer to implement. BP moved in order of swiftness to fix and safety, not cost.

    actually it's be more like 60 minutes, but i feel ya. we don't even have a commercial mach 2 service anymore.

    just think, if flights were much shorter you could really cram people in. i know i could put up with being squeezed in a packed plane for 60 minutes to get to paris.

    look at what you are saying. private companys can't do it right but somehow big government will be perfect? have you ever even dealt with a government department before?!?! they are accountable to no one, you have no choice either.

    what laws were broken or not enforced in the building of this rig? by all accounts i can see this is just an unfortunate accident, sure the rig could have been designed better, but everyone is an expert in hindsight.

    it's unbelievable that you are trying to pin this on republicans. you americans need to wake up to the fact there's more to the world then democrat vs republican.

    I could believe the academic world use OSX, but in most professional occupations you'll be using windows. this is because most professional specialy software is written in windows.

    In 10 years of working in the medical and engineering fields, i've seen exactly 1 person use a mac at work.

    I would say the best option is to install windows 7 and have them load linux into a vpc so they can experience a unix clone. if they can handle that then if they DO come across a mac down the track it won't be such a shock - they'll know there's more then windows out there.

    do the FTC take into account how is it is to switch ad providers though? even if google owned 99.9% of the online ad market, what's stopping someone comming in and under cutting them? it's dead easy to switch out ad words for another ad provider, as long as google wasn't threatening or bullying anyone trying to compete i say more power to them.

    fuck me 10 minutes every hour is more then i get. I work a 12 hour days and i'm only entitled to 1 hour, which i normally have to spend at my desk anyway.

    i'm pretty sick of this shit about them being low paid just because they get a few bucks a day, how about we compare their pay to other workers pay in the same region? i make much less then someone working in manhattan but no one races around screaming about how low paid i am.

    so according to you when MS gives away a free version of it's product so users can try it, it's because they want to "hook" them. let me ask what's your opinion of googles products? to do the same thing, give away free services with a paid option. i suppose you also think the whole shareware scene is also a big scam?

    answer me this. why is a graph of the USA temperatures that i posted unaccpetable because it's supposedly too localised, yet melting pack ice can't also be subject to localised changes? everyone waves their arms about melting in the arctic yet when any skeptic pops up with something localised they get nailed to a cross for it?

    according to all the brow beating being down temps will just keep rising, at this point i think you need to admit maybe it's not so cut and dry. your also trying to confuse localised seasonal changes with my graph which is global temps over the last 12 years. so no it's not as bad as your attempting to paint it.

    because you haven't sufficently proven that CO2 is the cause, thats why. the current 10 year trend is actually cooling. http://www.c3headlines.com/2010/01/as-of-december-31-2009-12-year-cooling-trend-is-now-1103f-per-century.html. how can we be cooling if CO2 is the devil and it's going to kill us all?

    and even if you did, no one has come up with a believable price on CO2. i'll fully admit it would be no easy task, since your dealing with so many unknowns.
