Because counting pack in game is like like saying Nintendo sells more console power supplies than anyone else. I don't see how you can't understand that. As for the 720p issue I don't know what planet you live on, but that's what most HDTVs do. Some have 1080i like mine does, but there is no way I'd play with that res and 1080p is not that common and isn't a broadcast standard yet. There is not a damn thing wrong with 720p and it's ironic you'd criticize that considering that the Wii can't even do HD.

Counting pack in games is ridiculous and it's part of the reason VG Chartz is a joke like I said. From your other posts it's pretty obvious you are a huge Nintendo fan and a 360 hater so this argument is going to go nowhere. Like I said elsewhere for a 3rd party dev the Wii is attractive because of it's install base, but that is tempered by the fact that the majority of Wii owners don't seem to buy that many games and that 3rd party games don't sell nearly as well as the first party games. Add the fact that you have to spend time and money making Wii-centric controls and resources and it loses some of it's luster. It's not a bad platform and it is selling like gang busters, but my original post still stands.

It comes down to preference obviously. Some people are going to like PC, some Wii, some 360 and some PS3. Each console has it's strengths and weaknesses regardless of fanboys assertions that their console is perfect in every way. I mean look at the PS3, it's got killer powerful hardware, but just isn't selling because of the lack of killer titles.

Mainstream, in other words the majority of, gamers do not own dozens of games. People that do are the exception. I have hundreds of games if you count PC, Xbox, PS2, Dreamcast, DS, etc. but I don't consider myself a typical gamer by any stretch.

Also, I love how people always fall back on bitching about Live. Well my friend if you ever decide to stop being ignorant and actually comparing the console online offerings you'd see how much better Live is than the other 2 combined. Also, you can't compare this to the PC world where everyone expects things for free. Even if you did there still is no unified, easy to use and solid system on the PC that comes close to Live. You can cobble together different products from different vendors, but nothing that offers everything Live does.

Lots of universities, art schools, colleges use Macs, but when it comes to game development (Mac games being the obvious exception) most of the tools we use are Windows PC bsaed.

Sure Mac sales are up overall these days, ironically after they became able to run Windows, but you still aren't going to have a majority market share with how entrenched Windows is unless there is some kind of major IT shake up. From the BBC's perspective they are going to put the most money into the biggest market share and that makes sense. It's the same reason not many games get ported to the Mac or Linux, it's just not worth the sales regardless of the warm fuzzy feelings.
