when thousands of enraged people put forth a popular referendum to abrogate many of the more dangerouse articles whant they do? do you think the church leaved their followers to vote as they think is right? NO they put forth the idea that is better NOT VOTING AT ALL.
the consequency is that only 26% of people went to vote, and the referendum was voided! the claims that they winn but they cheated worst that the usual politic!!
they put the referendum in a holliday weekend. if you sum the total of people on holliday, the one forced to work away from home, and the huge 25-35% that usually do not vote at all the people that abstain would be max 35-40% and NOT ALL OF THEM WOULD HAVE VOTED VERSUS THE REFERENDUM. BUT THEY SUSTAIN THAT ALL THE 74% that not voted are whith them!@!@#$%^@!!!!
I could pay 5$ for a dvd that is marginally interesting to me if I stumble on it, I will HARDLY pay 20$ for the same dvd, that independent from the legit or illegal state of the dvd.
without a low cost alternative to the legal dvd I will wait some year, so the price of the dvd drop to 5$ and then I buy it.
the industry will have my 5$ some year later (or never) when it could have it immediately if it offer an acceptable price.

an inhabitant of the UK obtain from Itunes 8 songs for the same price (pound -> euro -> us$ -> canadian$ conversion) you obtain 15!!!!
There are too much offers and not so much clearance, some example of Home offers are: - 40 Euro/moth for a 256Kb Downstream presumably 64Kb upstream, flat, no special caps and, in theory, 24h/day. the 256Kb are a teorical maximum not necessary what you get. They guarantee only you do not get more than that;-)
- pre paid card like the phone card or time limited offer (25hour/month) at about 1Euro/hour ratio for the same Kb of the former offer
recently I heard of a consumer offer of 1024Kb Downstream flath 24h/day for about 80/100 Euro/month but I hav not seen the exact offer.
That only for consumer (low quality, not always reliable, not always on). the Serious contract for industry or office are not so cheap!
