How come this game that is open source, with what I have to think are fewer financial or programming resources than for-profit games, can manage to release a game for 4 platforms? For most games, you get a PC version, and maybe a Mac version or a Linux version significantly later. I know cross platform games exist, but I don't think I've ever heard of a release like this one.
I'm pretty excited about the tabbed browsing. It's quickly becoming a feature I can't live without. And now that Safari has it, I don't have to. I realize I could have used Mozilla on the mac, but I want to support the Mac effort and all their software.
So this woman, who thinks for a living, assumes that our gov't would never "misuse technology". Good God, who the hell is paying her. Whether it would be intentional or not, it's pretty safe to think that there are people power-mad enough, and that there are people stupid enough, to misuse technology in seriously harmful ways. She's a f**king automaton, paid and programmed to regurgitate whatever she reads in the National Review.
I personally think it would be nice to be able to drag and drop gui elements with some Eclipse plugin, but then go in and whack at the code to get what I'm after. It's just too much of a pain in the ass to build complex guis by hand.
It's about time Sun gave JBoss the chance to prove themselves. However, we've been using JBoss successfully for over two years, and will continue to do so regardless what happens between Sun and JBoss. But...go JBoss!!!
I think the parent meant that they were extremely good at making money fast, not at making software. That's the way I read it anyway.
Is this a joke? I expect this question from my mother who knows basically nothing, not from slashdot editors who know...uh, never mind.
Doh! Couple weeks too late for me.
WTF (who, not what) cares? They're not trying to patent the real not operator, !.
And if I'm going to have something express delivered to someone else, I tell them I'll "fedex" it, whether I'm going to use FedEx or not.

I think what the poster was after was: "Effectively, the Semantic Web..." Makes more sense than the original anyway.
Off-topic, I know, but what does "suXors" mean?

See, she definitely reads National Review. Or else has it pumped into that jack at the base of her skull.

You choo-choo-choose me? Much funnier.

for Microsoft to not adhere to in the future, f**king anyone dumb enough to assume that they would .
Code is beautiful. I call it art. Sometimes, if it's particularly beautiful, self-congratulations are in order.
what a sorry-ass collection o' crap that is.
