I just installed Fedora on a few machines (client requirement) and really, just like before, using a RedHat distro feels like doing time travel - going back 3 years or so - compared to Mandriva or Suse. RedHat certainly is not good for desktop use, while Mandriva, Suse and Ubuntu are great and have been great for years already - well at least Suse and Mandriva.

What I found interesting about the Atkins diet controversy is that the government promotes a balanced meal - in order to be healthy (and fat). The Atkins and other diets, promotes *unbalanced* meals, which causes people to be healthy and thin.

Now I can understand that balanced==fat and unbalanced==thin, but both being promoted as healthy?

Well, the practicalities of deployment means that you seldom get a situation where the signal strength of two or more APs is exactly the same. Usually, one is dominant and that one is usually your own. Granted, it may be more of a problem in a chaotic environment with too many APs - eg. an apartment block with cardboard walls, or when you are trying to leach off someone else's open system and the signal strength is low, with interference from a nearby closed system.
