    Hmm, never heard of voice analysis have you? You can turn the microphone on, listen to everything going on around the phone and identify the speakers.

    Sure, I agree with your sentiment, but that doesn't negate the fact that according to IEEE, there are 50,000 EEs that are out of work in the USA. That is one hell of a lot of engineers - equivalent to many years of engineer output of all the US universities.

    Hmm, I see. New Orleans will take decades to recover from that mess. In fact, it may never recover and may die a slow and horrible death as a city. Anyhoo, if one has to work as a truck driver or framer, an engineering degree is quite useless. A 4 year EE degree actually makes it more difficult to find work, so when I apply for work, I describe my degree as a 3 year Comp Sci instead. Nobody has ever asked to see the degree certificate anyway...

    "keep Windows XP updated" and consequently keep the internal software firewall enabled, which explains why your machine i still working. Note however, that if your machine has only one or two spy applications running, it will not affect performance enough that you will notice.

    Due to pressure by large countries to honour patents and copyrights, poor countries are all switching to free software. The strict enforcement of copyrights is the best thing that can ever happen to the Free Software movement and to the poor, it is a godsend.

    There is a Roman Law principle which says that 'the law does not concern itself with trivialities'. So in most other countries, crap lawsuits are simply thrown out by the judges and the lawyers are admonished for filing them.

    The sad thing is that judging by the large number of people in US prisons, they don't seem to help. My guess is that many people see the prisons as holiday resorts - a place to get a warm shower, a real bed with a mattress and a blanket and 3 square meals a day.
