In the case of accused baby killers Amy Grossberg and Brian Peterson we will see how justice functions in the U.S.A. for the semi-wealthy, who have big bucks when you compare them to the average Joe on the street, but, whom by the same token cannot be compared to O.J. Simpson or John Du Pont. I guess Grossberg and Peterson will fare as well as Mom and Dad's money and political contacts will allow them to. I can guarantee that the reaction would be much different if the average man on the street did likewise.
So the American people are faced with a classic double standard in the criminal justice system. Where, we have become too capitalist oriented and the rich receive some facsimile of justice, while the poor man has no hope of receiving any Justice. Most cops are decent enough people, as far as their lot goes. But, the cops only enforce the laws, it's the criminal Justice system that makes them and, unfortunately, it's not doing too well at the present time. This is why we must establish a Roman-style "Corporate State" in America now and dispense with laissez-faire Capitalism once and for all. No one with a brain in his head can say that the Capitalist system now enslaving America practices equal distribution of the wealth at any level.
Look at Bill Clinton who sits in the White House spending $500.00 and $600.00 on haircuts. I know disabled veterans who served this country in W.W.II, Korea or Vietnam who don't get that amount each month in their lousy pensions. When I was living in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania I knew an old man who not only served in the 2nd World War, but was actually taken prisoner by the Germans, and he was forced to eat at the soup kitchen because all the creeps at the V.A. were giving him was $310.00 a month to live on.
We all know how the current government practices selective discrimination against blacks, hispanics, homosexuals, Jews, women and other unwanted ethnic and social minorities. Certainly not old people forced to live on stinking Social Security and disabled people forced to live out miserable existences on VA pensions and welfare.
The government hooks people on the dole like a pusher hooks kids on crack. Once your stuck on one of their lousy pensions not only is there no incentive to get you off, they have these damn things rigged so that you can't get off. Once your trapped into the give-me-rut with government doles your life is not your own. Big Brother gives you a miserly stipend in return for information and to make you dance like a puppet on a string.
Don't think the tyrants control extends only over their poor, unfortunate victims who are forced to live on these filthy stipends, they also control all classes by these corrupt economic methods. The system jockies have established their standard of living scam so as to fix lifestyles, so that the more money you make the more you are expected to spend to maintain the expected appearance of your class. So no one really gets ahead of the game no matter how much income you have because the tyrants have fixed expectation levels of every caste of conventional American society.
The Washington monster not only uses economic methods to control its enslaved population, recently the monster has started to use the same methods as old style despots. We saw the murder of black Move Activists in Philadelphia by the monster's storm troopers, the system's gestapo hunted white separatist Gordon Kaohol and killed him like an animal and then the B.A.T.F. goons murdered the Branch Davidians in Waco, TX "on a mission of mercy." The psychological toll is obvious -- kids teasing. But far worse, doctors know overweight kids are likely to keep gaining weight, which is why America is in the throes of an epidemic of childhood obesity.
"It's critical that we look at obesity as a disease," says Dr. Robert Suskind, Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School.
Why? Because doctors now see teens with clogged arteries, high blood pressure. Type 2 Diabetes, once called adult-onset diabetes, hits children too today and leads to blindness, kidney failure, heart disease.
"They die earlier," says Suskind.
In fact, this could be the first generation in a century with a shorter lifespan than its parents. With all the super-sized fast food, caloric intake is up while physical activity is down. Kids spend more hours in front of TVs and computers and at the same time schools are cutting gym to save money and have more time for academics.
"It's extremely shortsighted,'' says California-based physical education teacher Chad Fenwick.
Fenwick says gym classes today teach life-long fitness and nutrition, but it's reaching fewer kids.
"They're in terrible shape and we need to do something about it right now or we're going to have severe problems later on."
Some doctors say the problem is so dire now it requires drastic measures, even drugs. The University of Pennsylvania is testing the diet drug Meridia on kids, even though it is not recommended for children under 16.
Despite the risks, Suskind prescribes a near-starvation diet of 800 calories a day or less.
"But you have to have intervention so that children will lose weight and that's why we developed this fully integrated program of diet, exercise and behavior modification."
Remember Jessica, the typical American child? Well, in one important way she's atypical. She's doing something about her weight. She and her mother attend Kidshape, a Los Angeles program to help kids get control of their weight and food.
