I never thought that my generation (I'm 26) would see commerical space flight in our life time. I thought that the world was too caught up in war and and greed for the next great step to the stars. NASA's stalled and caught in buracrecy, GovCo's got a poltical agenda for the Mars mission.
I am happily, gratefully, wrong. I hope with all my heart that Rutan and his contemporaries continue the privately funded drive to the stars.
Sue the folks who carry roughly HALF of the planet's internet traffic. (They may not be quite that huge in the USA, but they are a large part of the global network.)
Sue the folks who have had their abuse desk chopped, skewered and deep fryed because of the bankruptcy.
... special releases of games recently, and I think.. "Uh, not everyone has broadband!" What about the rest of us who don't have the ablity to get a high speed connection at home?
Dialup's painful enough, but add the fact that we're being teased by all these special promos and releases? I'm going to go find a sword to fall on now!

I doubt to, but if they did.. oh my.. if they did...
And I'm willing to bet that after the lessons learned on how NOT to build an interface in any of the Black Isle games (Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, etc), it might actually not suck. I'd have to say that of all the D&D-esque games to date, the interface I've truely fallen in love with is Neverwinter Nights'.

How's about so that folks who are clueless and don't know any better don't start spamming out of ignorance? While the hardcore ones do account for most of the spam, there are companies every day who start spamming because they don't know any better.
Abuse desks also handle a whole lot more than spam....
Kindly explain that to the beancounters, then. I've been trying to get them to understand the concept of 'wasted bandwidth, cpu cycles and disk space' for a while. So has my boss and my bosses' boss and.... Well, you get the idea.

Actually, yes, I can.
The $_office I work for.
And don't talk to me about "most anti-spammers". I've been playing in that arena for years.

Feh. And again I say feh.

No, because a whole bunch of abuse desk folks and anti-spammers, and anti-spam consultants will also be there. The spammers *will* be out-numbered.
