On the play.com site it says the weight of this device is 4.3 kg. While it looks really nice, I cannot believe it weighs so much. If it is true, I don't want to take such a thing with me while underway.
I'm a happy eee 901 owner.
Make sure you never test your optimized system using the model you used to optimize it. If you do, your optimized system always wins. If it doesn't win under these circumstances, you've used a bad optimization technique.
If you find 1 instance of disto x now and 2 in juli 2004, this will mean an increase of 100%! Surely that'll be the fastest growing disto next time. In absolute numbers Redhat is the fastest growing distro.
Here's the source code (SVG) of a logo, IBM can use if they do abandon Micro$oft. It says: "Not powered by Micro$oft". My server cannot handle substantial traffic, so I cannot provide a link to a picture showing the logo. Convert it with the Batik rasterizer, resize the.png file it generates with 'convert' and/or convert it to another file type and show it with pride!

TCO and ROI are important measures if you consider switching from a certain system to another one. Many people are thinking of switching to Linux and use the above measures. I do not know of organizations thinking of switching from Linux to OSF, Windows NT or whatever OS other than Linux. I think this is an important fact if you consider switching to Linux, a more important fact than economical measures like TCO or ROI published every now and then.
More and more spam got through the Spamassassin filter I used. This weekend I installed the Active Spam Killer (see a-s-k) and uninstalled the Spamassassin. I believe that the filter approach used by the Spamassassin and friends is a fight one cannot win in the end.

This turbine was one of the items mentioned few days ago on Slashdot in another post. See: http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/10/11/212243
