  1. Karma, I'm now a firm believer on Novell Suggests Linux Program Replacements · · Score: 1

I have to say I read this news item and laughed. Hello, Novell! -- you want Apple to do iTunes for SUSE? ... say, where's my Zen client for the Mac? How about a non-crappy GroupWise client? Where's my OS X SDK? I've gone to four BrainShares and have literally begged Novell to offer more Mac support. And I always hear the same thing from them, "Ooohh ... we feel your pain, but Macs don't have a big enough market share to offer us a compelling business case."

So to my friends at Novell: Welcome to the wonderful world of karma.

Maybe I've been blind to the views of the majority in this proudly secular country?

And the Queen is the head of the what? Drum roll please...The Church of England! Woohoo! The UK, a "proudly secular" country with an official religion. I have to say that I LOLled when I read a Brit claim that the UK is "proudly secular."

Personally, I don't think ID should be taught as science because it's not science. However, I'm pro-religion. But come on you atheists! Put some thought into your posts! The UK is not secular and never has been.

  3. Re:I love apple, but they could be alittle better. on Apple Tops Consumer Reports List · · Score: 3, Insightful

Okay, see this from Apple's point-of-view. Let's say your're the person working at Apple. Someone calls and says he/she baught an open copy of AppleCare at CompUSA and wants to apply that to a computer he/she now owns. How do you reply? You look up the numbers and see that that said service has been registerred by someone else. How do you now "know" that the person on the phone is telling the truth? How can you distinguish this from, say, someone who lifted it out of another person's house because he/she found it lying on a table during a party? Think about it. As has been said, the onus is on YOU to prove to Apple that you're now the proper owner ... not on Apple. Now whether you can bring get on CompUSA's case is another thing ... but don't expect Apple to do this for you -- you have to do this for yourself.
