    This project wasn't just morbid curiosity. From the article - Because human egg cells are difficult and costly to retrieve from women's ovaries -- and because human egg retrieval poses risks to the donors -- scientists have been wanting to know whether animal eggs may serve as well.

    The last time I installed Debian, 2.2 was the default for stable. Testing and sid use 2.4 kernels.

    Allow me to clear up a little of your confusion. I was using the word sad as in pitiful, not depressed. I assumed that you would understand this by the context in which it was used. Obviously, I overestimated your reading comprehension.

    You are making some false assumptions. Actually, both assumptions are false. The state of not being one thing, doesn't make it the opposite. there is a neutral state.

    Commercial developers release software with disclaimers like "no warranty" and "not fit for any particular use". This leads me to beleive that testing is not a big concern.

    I just don't see jury nullification being a factor in this case. In the O.J. trial the jury ignored the evidence and let him go. It was a willful act, not incompetence.
