Since the poster is using a G5, he can use the FireWire port in front of the computer to hook up a 6pin-to-4pin cable. The iLink port was described above. If you are using iMovie all you need to do is turn on your camera and launch the program and you'll have control of the camera from your computer.
If you are using Final Cut (Pro or Express) it's a little more complicated to set up but the manuals are pretty clear. No extra software or adapter needed.
They are not making anything up. The sole purpose of the iTunes Music Store is to help sell iPods. If they happen to break even or make some profit, so much the better.
What has been working for me is to slowly reduce the amount. Right now I'm taking my morning coffee (I'll never give that up!) and 1 or 2 cokes during the rest of the day.
Because I also got headaches, I went from 5 cokes a day to four, stayed on four for several weeks then went to three and so on. Good luck!
"With the possible exception of certain Adobe applications, there is no Mac-specific software that I'm aware of that does anything real useful for which use a Linux app doesn't also exist."

I think that Gimli is allowed to take Arwen's spot, but I'm not sure.
Maybe I spoke too soon. Looking at the iDVD tutorials all they talk about is SuperDrive. Sorry.
I believe Apple has added support for external drives to iDVD. I use DVD SP with an external FW burner with no problems.
