The problem was that the clone makers made really powerful machines that catered more to Apple's main buyers than Apples machines did. Therefore, Apple lost out on a lot of hardware profit margins and was spending lots and lots of money trying to build OS's that cloners did not help pay for. It nearly destroyed Apple.
Walk into Best Buy and point out the non-Windows machines for me please. Or, I'll make it easy for you: Go into compUSA and find the tiny back corner of the store where they sell Macs.
Your'e right, when I think Apple, I think OJ Simpson. I can not get over the fact that a chain of stores shut down because of Apple, and this somehow makes OJ not guilty or guilty of murder.

Don't watch major news outlets. Try to maintain a realistic viewpoint.

Yeah speeding is the same as taking dirty pictures of kids and getting off to them. Im sure you don't even care that people who look at child porn often "get the urge" and go out and molest kids. I couldn't live with that on my conscience.
Just ask Enron, Worldcom, the FBI, all branches of the military, and many others. They all agree that if you relay a problem to your superiors, the matter will be handled in a timely, ethical matter.
Apple constantly is putting out OS upgrades, and MS has one big release every so often. Microsoft says it will have a whole lot of things, and then Mac will already have released them and they will be done better.

It seems like the U.S. government will stop at nothing until no communication is anonymous. Sure it might stop spammers a little, but it seems like a good cover story to stop people from doing as they please.

Also, I use my fingers to "download" cd's at the local record store to my pocket. This is 98% faster than a dial-up modem.
