I wonder if this is actually the cause of the current national debt problem in the US.
Neither get all three branches, so they can't resolve the problem as they see fit (austerity vs tax increases). All they can do is increase the national debt and kick the proverbial can down the road for someone else to deal with. This is not the best feasible outcome for the country because at some point the 4th Amendment will kick in an they'll have to pay someone.
You can tell when the system is so utterly corrupt, when it's cheaper to contribute (read: bribe) a politician to give you tax breaks, than it is to pay the taxes.
That's an easy one. Executive level pay is the only one that has year on year out stripped inflation by several magnitudes, and has done for the last 30 years. Everyone else's wages has remained for all intents and purposes, exactly the same.
Try quitting when the cost of your degree is multiples of the yearly wage you're on, and you can't go bankrupt because unlike most other forms of debt, student loans are immune.
I think you should go read a dictionary and learn what the word polygamy means. Nothing to do with agreement of gay marriage.
No - as in the context of the person I was responding to. As in - many women married to one man, or many men married to one woman. Or even multiple men/women marrying each other.
The problem as I see it is that comics are often bought by young boys. If the comic portrays homosexuality in a bad light, as many of OSC's other works have done, then young and impressionable boys may end up feeling worse about their own sexuality. Comics are supposed to be an escape from reality.
Except OSC DOES use his products to (attempt to) advance his political views.
Although I think 50 Shades of Grey is complete shite (both as a literary work, and as a discussion of S&M) - I don't see why Christians shouldn't read it. If anything it's an perfect analogy for Christians relation with god. Ana is the Christians, and (ironically) Christian is god - an abusive, manipulative SOB who doesn't actually give a shit about Ana at all and only enjoys controlling her to get her to worship him. Sounds about right to me.
Anyone who works for a company is an indentured servant. Do you really think companies pay you what you're worth? No. They pay you what they think they can get away with.
Not only is it a piss poor excuse for a media player (I mean really - who needs a media player to fill the whole screen. Winamp has it right), the interface is the most unintuitive piece of shit ever.
I suspect it's more about the negative publicity than "Please don't sue us". Cisco has incredibly deep pockets (mostly cost they sell $20k routers to 2 person part time libraries), and could tie anything like that up on court till the cows come home.
This is Apple's (or was Job's) problem all over though - declaring anything the one true way. It's why you end up with a lot of die hard Apple fan boys, religious zealotry of a sort. Don't get me wrong, I'm a PC guy with an iPhone. I like my iPhone, but it's never made me want to go all Apple. That's partly because I believe a monoculture is bad for computing, and partly because I really, really, really, with a passion*, hate iTunes.
* So much so that when a time machine is invented I'm going for the retroactive abortion route on the creators.
And that's why a lot of people choose to go straight to palliative care. They might extend their life by 6 months to a year, but the side affects of the treatments are so horrible and you're going to die anyway they'd rather choose the easy path.
I have my own office - a separate room away from the distractions of home life. I'm lucky in that regard, but essential my work. No xbox. No games. Just business
I have a home office. I'm fortunate that it is separated from the rest of the house. This gives me some privacy from the wife and kids and lets me concentrate. It lets me get my head in the game when I sit at my desk. And yet I'm working from home.

Sure - but then you're unemployed and no way of paying off your student loan.

What *is* wrong with polygamy. Provided everyone is in agreement/consenting, and no one is cheating on anyone else?

But this is America where everything is supposed to be for profit. That's the nature of the ultra-capitalist system.

Or they could just have waited until the day of the upgrade to fibre to install the new router?
You didn't see the previous posts on here about Evernote's username/password/email address getting hacked then.
I was poking fun at Evernote rather then distributed backups.
On a more serious note, what do people think of Symform?

Just don't use Evernote to do your backups

In my slightly sleep deprived state, I read that as Skynet. Funny what your brain picks up on .

+1

So not square footage? Office space costs and if you can cut that in half by having people work from home then it comes down to the cost/benefit.
I think it was China actually, but yes.
I will if you will. The GP doesn't mention the Democrats once.
