  1. Re:Best gameboy on Game Boy Micro Announced · · Score: 2, Interesting

The largest official collection of Atari2600 games can be found in the Aspyr Activision Anthology. It contains about 52 Atari 2600 games, some of which are prototypes that were never released. The cartridge also contains the box art and manual for every single game, and many of them are multiplayer. There is also a score board, which keeps track of all of your high scores, and you can also earn patches (like you used to be able to in real life) for getting certain high scores in the games. I own this collection, and i've spent more time with it than with any other GBA title out there.

One problem would be that the Flash development environment is only available for MacOS and Windows. Sadly, there is no Linux port as of yet, so they would be limited to the Windows machine (that i assume is at the school).

Too bad Odigo has had this feature for a few years now. They call it "radar" or something like that, and it actually got annoying when people messaged you that were on the same website.

If you want a cell phone that can go all over the world, check out the Motorola v400 and v600. They're a bit pricey, but if you want the ability to use it around the world (although you will have to work something out with a provider in each region), they're the best. (Unless you want to get one of those sattelite phones.. but that's just crazy unless you're going to be climbing a mountain.) If you don't like those, just look around for Quad-Band GSM phones.

  5. Behind the times. on PC In An XP Box · · Score: 1

That project has been up there for a LONG time, so it's hardly news. Besides, the only interesting part is how the creator designed the computer to either start into Windows or Linux depending on the orientation of the case inside the box (refer to the article), but he didn't even explain how he did it beyond a vague overview.

  7. Gravis Eliminator Aftershock on Gamepads for Console/Arcade Emulators? · · Score: 1

I, too, was in search of a good controller to use for emulation, so i picked up a Gravis Eliminator Aftershock. At first it was pretty cool. It has lots of features, like mouse and keyboard emulation, that make it so that your hands don't have to leave the controller to select a new game in your emulator. The overall position of the buttons and sticks got annoying after extended use, and the D-pad doesn't seem to be calibrated correctly. I would much prefer to have bought a PS2 controller and an adapter. The D-pad on a PS2 controller has individual directions so you know which direction you are hitting. Also, the sticks are in more accessible locations.
